Day Seven of Teacher's Pet

Notes: last day of teacher's pet! now I can finally move on to my other plans

William Vangeance

The one who doesn't let it show.

William won't act like your relationship doesn't exist, but he definitely won't let it interfere or affect work either.

He might subtly be nicer towards you, but it won't be much of a change.

Maybe the occasional soft smile when you do a mission well or pairing you to work with him for smaller things like patrols.

He is a man who believes in balance, which is why even if he might treat you like just another knight during work, he does enjoy spending time with you after everyone's clocked off.

This can be as simple as having you lounge around his office while he finishes up paperwork or calling you to his chambers/going to your room so the two of you can chat and just hang out.

Sometimes when there is a particularly risky mission William might be hesitant to send you to that place, however, this can easily be fixed with a bit of reasoning and promises to be safe.

He definitely doesn't give you promotions or anything based on your relationship with him, but if you are genuinely strong he won't hesitate to do so.

William's also quick to shut down any rumours or snide comments towards you. Anyone in his squad who even thinks about saying you only got in/are at the position you are because the two of you are together should think twice.

Yami Sukehiro

Yami isn't one to change the way he treats you because of your relationship, but he might tweak his behaviour toward you.

He understands that he needs to find a balance between the times he is your partner and when he is your squad captain, however, considering his laidback attitude, this doesn't really change things between you.

He isn't the kind to be overly affectionate or like PDA, but he might be a little kinder to you than the rest.

Like he'll let you use Finral from time to time. Or he'll give you lesser chores than the others.

Yami would also prefer keeping you with him during missions or trips, but if you have a certain team that you like working with he won't force you to be paired with him.

Unlike William, he's more open to letting you go into dangerous situations. It worries him, but as long as he knows you can handle yourself Yami will let you do your job.

However, the down side of this is that when he knows your enemy/task is too risky and you won't be able to handle it, Yami will be very stubborn and not allow you to do it, instead choosing to do it for you.

Yami is a fun captain, which is why you can expect outings and domestic fun with him and the rest of the squad.

Would probably make your room always next to or across from his. The same goes for your seat at the table.

Fuegoleon Vermillion

Unlike the others, Fuegoleon might be more affected by the fact that you are his partner.

It's more so his attitude than his treatment that changes.

While Fuegoleon still treats you as he does his other squad members, his attitude towards you takes a bit of a shift, being more affectionate than he would to anyone else.

His affection is more subtle, things like helping tend to your wounds after a mission or training, holding your hand during patrols, etc.

Fuegoleon also seeks you out more often than he otherwise would, choosing to ask your advice on certain things or just keeping you by his side while he does paperwork.

If you ever bring up the new differences he might get a little distant because he thinks it's a bad thing, but a little conversation can change that.

Overall, Fuegoleon isn't shy to show the world that the two of you are together.

Nozel Silva

He's the type to not let your relationship affect your roles in the squad, making it seem like nothing has changed between the two of you.

However, Nozel can completely flip if and when you get hurt, in an argument, or just overall any situation that makes him feel like you need his assistance.

He won't hesitate to let people know that you are his partner. It's not that he doesn't want your relationship to be public or anything, but just that he has moments where he's your squad captain and moments where he's your partner.

Nozel can be stricter about this than the others, however, he also has his soft moments.

Things like dropping off bouquets in your room after particularly hard missions, holding your hand in crowds or whenever he feels a problem arise, and even giving you good morning and goodbye kisses on your forehead or cheek.

He is more than happy to use his siblings to help the two of you get some alone time between the day, and often makes it a habit to check in on you at least once every day.

At first, it might seem like Nozel is embarrassed by your relationship or wants to hide it, but he's actually too oblivious romantically to realise it comes off as that way.

Conversation is key with him.

Can’t Help Falling in Love + William Vangeance

If you were being honest, you fell for him the moment you saw him. Who wouldn’t? The dreamy, mysterious captain, who loved his kingdom with a fierce but quiet determination? The world always says that only fools rush headlong into things, but it also says when you know, you know. And that day in the squad garden? When you saw him leaning against the fountain, watching the birds with a soft smile on his face? You knew. 

“Is there a reason you’re staring, Y/N?” He asked, stirring you from your daydream. “No! No sir, not at all.” You said, cheeks warming with embarrassment. “Come, join me.” 

You hadn’t been part of the squad long, but your map magic had enabled you to work your way up through the ranks fast as part of the scout team. It was a bit ironic you supposed, you were one of the best on the scout team but you couldn’t be stealthy in your everyday life. 

Making your way across the cobblestones you sat near him, perching on the fountain to watch the birds as well. Quietly you held a finger out and one flew to land on your finger. “Hello pretty bird.” You cooed, gently petting with another finger. 

As you sat quietly together, watching the birds, William knew, he felt a connection that he couldn’t push out of his brain. 

“Y/N?” 

“Hmm?” 

William sucked in a breath, “Are you quite busy tonight?” 

You blinked, this was quite the unexpected question, if you were reading it the right way. “No, I am completely free.” You hoped he couldn’t hear your heart pounding, but you knew he could probably tell. William Vangeance, you had come to know, has this uncanny ability to read people, almost like he knows everything at a first glance. 

You received a soft smile, “Perfect, I’d love to take you to dinner if you’d have me.” 

Heart caught in your throat, the bird flew away, “Yes, I think I’d like that.” 

Ever so gently, he took your hand, “Shall we?”

“We shall.”

Nostalgia

I done a fluff because I have feels about friends

Mulder doesn't realise he's crying until there are sharp, small feet on his lap and sticky fingers on his cheek.

'Daddy sad?' William asks, toddler bluntness melting into the end of You've Got a Friend In Me and he doesn't want to be but he is.

'It's okay buddy. I'm just remembering.' It's been long enough that the memories aren't as sharp as they used to be, but they still wrong a little bit. He's ready to swallow them back, that's what they do, but his son is old enough to prod and Scully's eyes in his face are no less effective an incentive to give up the parts of him bed rather hide.

'Why?' A direct question deserves an honest answer.

'Because my friends aren't about any more and I miss them sometimes.' And the loneliness of his life has never seemed as full as it does in that moment; with misfit toys reunited on screen and nobody to call on a Friday night except Scully, who will be mid-shift and have better things to do than reassure him.

'Oh.' William's small face wrinkles in concern, then brightens. 'Find them? Take Aliens?'

And he has to laugh at that. Of all the toys of course his son would pick the aliens. Frohike did look a little like one of the claw worshipping little suckers. He's pretty sure the Gunmen saved his life though, and not the reverse; his eternal gratitude isn't much use to three white markers at Arlington. He's not much use to anyone these days, he thinks as William starts to scramble down, headed for his Rocky toy and a world of fantasy he wishes he could share.

His phone buzzes through the gathering darkness of his thoights and she's daylight on his cheek.

'Mulder?'

'It's me.'

She knows. He knows. But they don't say it out loud often enough.

'Can you get out early Scully? We miss you... I miss you.' He can hear her smile. He should tell her more.

'I'll see what I can do. I gotta go. I just wanted to check in.'

'Go save lives, Scully.'

She hangs up and he shuts off the TV, scoops up their son, horse and all and heads for the kitchen.

'C'mon cowboy. Let's make dinner. We gotta feed up the team.' Perhaps there are only three of them, but it's one more than he dreamed and two more than he deserves. He cracks a beer and a juicebox and taps drinks with William. He doesn't have have friends, but he's got a family.

Dance With Me: gn reader fluff

Day Three of Teacher's Pet

Notes: the two of you dance together after a day of work

Nanami Kento

Nanami isn't much of a dancer, at least, he doesn't think he is, yet the way you sway in his arms feels natural enough for him to question whether he had some hidden dance talents that only recently resurfaced.

After a long day of work all Nanami wanted was to relax and unwind, leaving his work out the door to instead focus on mundane homely things, and most importantly, you.

However, his plan was short-lived and thrown out the window the second he crossed the threshold to spot you slow dancing in the middle of the living room.

"Ken! Come on, join me!"

He was exhausted.

After a day of balancing being a jujutsu sorcerer and somehow getting through his regular nine to five, all Kento wanted to do was fall asleep with your fingers in his hair.

But how could he ever deny you with that silly spring in your step and smile across your face?

Before long he found his arms wrapping around your waist while yours hung loosely around his neck.

His feet joined yours in an awkward shuffle of sorts, one that had the two of you clumsily bumping into each other until Kento finally decided to pull you flush against him.

As the song playing on your phone began to come to a stop so did the two of you, yet Nanami found himself remaining in the same spot for a moment or two, with his hands desperately clinging to you as yours soothed his back and ran through his hair.

Nanami had never had something like this. He had never had someone to love so purely, someone to cling to and dance with, had never allowed himself to feel this way outside of you.

But that wasn't the best part.

The best part was that he didn't have to tell you any of that for you to know, for the way your hands moulded against each other said enough.

Dazai Osamu

The wind on the rooftop pushed against the two of you harshly.

It was almost like a warning, one that told stories of how dangerous it was for two forces that were so unlike the other to collide so seamlessly.

One that you chose to avoid as the two of you trudged further through the rooftop, only coming to a stop once you were before the ledge.

The city of Yokohama was your witness as Dazai tugged on your arm, with his hand falling to your waist while the other moved to clutch your palm and lead you in a waltz of sorts.

As his touch lingered on your skin you couldn't help but think of all the questions eating away at you, with most of them revolving around the man in your arms who had gone through yet another eventful day at work.

However, the thoughts left almost as fast as they had arrived, for they were replaced with the reassurance of having him by your side again.

Dazai's life wasn't normal, the two of you had more than established that before you jumped into your relationship, yet even with the constant threat of death looming over your shoulders, the two of you found that it was so much easier to let the world burn as you sought comfort in one another.

The wind on the rooftop was a force to be reckoned with, but with the two of you holding each other so tight, the howling winds felt like a mere caress, one that only lulled the two of you deeper into your love-filled daze.

William Vengeance

He was gone again.

You had never quite understood William's aversion to public gatherings, you could of course see why he felt the need to hide away given his physical afflictions, yet you had never thought of that as anything but another part of him.

A part that he chose to hide away.

Even today, after a successful yet strenuous mission, William found himself hiding away from the other attendees of the celebratory ball, a celebration that was mainly for him.

Others would have found his behaviour conflicting and moved on, yet as you travelled through the palace and came to a stop before the balcony at the end of the party hall, you found yourself pressing forward.

"William!"

The man in question was quick to spin on his heels at the sound of his name, but the tension in his shoulders ebbed away the second he realised it was you who had called out to him.

"Why aren't you back at the party?"

"I didn't feel like staying without you."

He still had his mask on, but you knew William well enough to be able to practically see the way he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he completely turned towards you.

"Oh. I apologise if my absence caused you discomfort."

You couldn't help but smile at the way he so readily set the blame on himself, yet chose to avoid bringing it up as you spoke.

"It's fine-"

your hand reached out to grasp his, leading him away from the bannister and allowing your other hand to drop to his shoulder.

"-I would rather dance with you anyways."

Suddenly, the faint sound of music coming from the ballroom seemed far louder than it was before, allowing the two of you to begin a slow waltz of sorts, one that made the rest of the world fade away as you got lost in each other.

(William might be a little ooc here, but I'd like to think that he'd be more open and animated around someone he'd known for a long time)

“William,” you groaned, slumping over the back of his chair, “Why do we have to go to these meetings? They’re literally the same every time.”

William glanced up from his paperwork to smile at you over his shoulder, “There there, I know you’re allergic to responsibility, but this is just part of the job. You decided to say yes when Julius offered it to you.”

Huffing, you crossed your arms, lips pursed into a pout, “I know I did, but that doesn’t make me any more enthused about this.”

William couldn’t help but chuckle at the familiar look on your face; you’d worn the same expression as a child when you were told that you had to complete your schoolwork before you could go play. Your pout turned into a sour expression as you saw him laughing at you. Leaning closer you smacked him on the arm, then ran before he could hit you back.

“Serves you right!” You yelled, taking off down the hallway. William jogged after you, shaking his head as you ran further and further ahead.

You skidded to a halt outside the captains’ meeting room, narrowly avoiding crashing into Marx. He raised an eyebrow, “Running from William again?”

Scratching your neck you scrunched your nose nervously, “Maybe.”

Marx stepped aside,muttering under his breath about how you were as bad as Julius, allowing you to enter the room.

“You know, it would suit captains to act with more decorum,” Nozel said pointedly once you sat down.

Rather than dignifying him with a vocal response, you stuck your tongue out at him, much to Yami’s delight.

“Haha Y/N got you good, Braid Face.”

Nozel glared at him, but Julius entered the room before he could respond.

This meeting was as boring as all the others but you forced yourself to pay attention, after all, you had to get through this meeting in order to get on with the rest of your evening.

The meeting ended and most of the captains left, but you lingered in the doorway, waiting for William as he talked with Julius. It was almost time.

William’s face brightened as he noticed you in the doorway and he strode to meet you.

“You didn’t have to wait for me.” He commented, your footsteps echoing in the marble hallway.

“I know.”

William narrowed his eyes, shooting you a glance, “What do you need?”

You gave him a mock offended look, “Oh you wound me! Can’t I just want to walk with my childhood friend?”

William gave you a pointed look, “I think I know you well enough to know when you have an ulterior motive.”

You chuckled, “Well I should hope so, we met how many years ago?”

William laughed, shaking his head, “Too many.”

Your footsteps paused, and William came to an abrupt halt, “I… actually did need something. Well, it’s more like a want.”

He studied your expression carefully, nodding at you to continue.

“Well… could you do that thing? The one we did as kids?”

A wave of relief washed over him, “That’s all? I thought something was wrong, or that you were going to tell me you loved me or something.”

You rolled your eyes, “Like that would happen. Anyway, is that a yes?”

“Yes, but you better buy me dinner first.”

“Deal! Race you!” You took off like a shot, legs carrying you as fast as they would go.

He caught up to you easily, and you both ignored the several shocked looks from the townspeople you barrelled past.

Stopping outside the restaurant, William opened the door for you with a cheeky grin.

“I won as usual.” He said, a hint of pride creeping into his voice.

You snorted, “Don’t get too cocky, I beat you earlier.”

He gave you an incredulous look, “That was only because you played a cheap trick!”

“Nonsense, I did no such thing.”

When dinner was over, the stars were out and you couldn’t help the way you were buzzing with excitement as you set off for an empty field.

William held his hands out, eyes scrunching with concentration; a tall tree emerged from the ground branches reaching high into the sky when he finished.

You and William climbed the tree, choosing branches to sit upon. Your backs rested against the tree and you fixed your gaze on the sky. The wind blew the leaves gently, creating a pleasant rustling sound.

“Remember when we talked about our dreams up here?” You asked.

“Of course, we both want to be the Wizard King,” William said. You could tell he was smiling, even though you weren’t looking at him.

“No, not that dream, the other one.” You said, your heart was beginning to pound now, you weren’t sure if this was a mistake or not.

William sucked in a breath when he remembered which one you were talking about.

“The one where we both wanted to be in love someday?” He asked softly, “Did you find someone?”

You nodded, even though he couldn’t see it, “I think so.”

He swallowed, “I see. Are they a good person?” He hoped you couldn’t hear the way his words were tinged with sadness; he’d always known this day would come, you’d fall for someone who wasn’t him, but that didn’t make him any more prepared for it.

You laughed softly, “They’re the best.”

He breathed in sharply, trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall. “I see. When did you realize you loved them?”

“I only realized it recently,” Your voice was soft, but he could hear the smile that was in it. “But, I think I’ve always been in love with them. We’ve grown rather close, and I can’t imagine my life without them.”

William felt a pang in his chest at your words, it was painfully obvious how in love you were.

“Well, that’s great,” He smiled sadly, “I’m really happy for you, I’m sure you’ll have a happy life together.”

“I hope so, I just hope we can work out our schedules. We’re both captains you see.”

William nearly fell out of the tree; you were in love with another captain? Who could it be? Was it Fuegoleon, Yami, or heaven forbid, Nozel?

“You’re--- you’re in love with a captain?” William sputtered, leaning over so he could look at your face.

You blinked, “Yes, didn’t I just say that?”

William blinked several times from the shock, “May I ask who it is?”

“Sure.”

He took a deep breath, “Okay. Is it Yami?”

“Nope.”

“Fuegoleon?”

“No. He’s way too proper for me.”

“Kaiser?”

“William, he’s married.”

“Right. Is it Jack?” You could tell he was trying hard not to judge you if your answer was yes to this question, but you knew your rival and friend too well at this point for him to hide it.

Sure, you could just put the poor man out of his misery and tell him the truth, but where was the fun in that?

“Yes.” You said, deadpan. William fixed you with such a shocked expression, you couldn’t help but laugh and drop the facade.

“William, I'm joking. Do you honestly think I would speak so tenderly of Jack of all people? Keep going.”

William shook his head, trying to shake the thoughts of you with Jack from his brain.

“Okay, is it Nozel?” He nodded at your look of disgust and kept going, “Rill?”

“No way.”

“Charlotte?” At this point William was beginning to panic, he was quickly running out of people to name.

“No.”

“Dorothy?”

“Not her either.”

“Then who?! That’s everyone!”

You chuckled, “Aren’t you forgetting about someone?”

William glanced around, trying to think of who he was forgetting. Suddenly he gasped, “Is it… is it Julius?!”

You erupted into an uncontrollable fit of laughter at his words, and William felt his cheeks grow hot.

“Y/N, are you messing with me right now? I’ve quite literally named everyone that’s a captain.”

Your laughter stopped as you realized he couldn’t picture that the person you were talking about could be him.

You took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of your nose to try to collect yourself.

“You know William, for a captain you’re really quite dense.”

William looked at you with a dumbfounded expression, “How am I dense? You’re the one who’s spent the last 10 minutes laughing at my expense.” He yelled indignantly, watching as you tried to stifle a snicker.

“William Vangeance! Did you really just forget that your title is ‘Captain William Vangeance’?”

William blinked, “What? No of course not, I’m the captain of the Golden Dawn!”

You flipped your hand over, staring at him, “Exactly.”

He looked at you puzzled, then, the realization hit him. The mysterious captain you were supposedly in love with... was him.

He sucked in a breath, mind racing. “Wait so… Wait… Really?”

You nodded, “Obviously you idiot,” but there was no malice behind your insult, “Who else would it be but you?” you continued quietly, fingertips gently brushing his.

The contact made him shiver, and you stared at each other for a long moment.

William looked away, cheeks dusted with an uncharacteristic shade of pink, “I… I’m in love with you too. Always have been.”

You smiled, a teasing glint in your eye, “Good, because you know Yami would have killed you for breaking my heart otherwise.”

He smiled, the picture of Yami fighting for your heart as the third member of your haphazard trio an amusing one.

He gently intertwined your fingers with his, “Do you want me to walk you back home?”

“Sure, I’d like that.”

William gently lowered the tree so you could safely hop down.

Your fingers brushed as you walked to your base, the empty streets peaceful at this hour.

“I do believe I won this time.” You commented, smacking him gently on the arm.

William gave you a sideways glance and a smile, “And what did you win this time?”

You turned, giving him a cheeky grin, “I won your heart.”

“Quit being cheesy, I won your heart too.”

You reached the door to your base and he gently grabbed your hand, kissing the top of it gently.

“Goodnight Captain Y/L/N.”

“Goodnight Captain Vangeance.”
