Paducah is a wonderful place to live. First founded as Pekin, by James and William Pore in 1821. The town was established by William Clark (from the Lewis & Clark Expeditions) around 1827 then renamed Paducah.
During the American Civil War, Paducah was under the control of Ulysseus S. Grant, and was a major depot for supplies along the Ohio River.
Paducah is located at 37°4′20″N 88°37′39″W (37.072226, −88.627436). Our city has 3 elementary schools, including; Clark Elementary , McNabb, & Morgan Elementary School.
