I've said this before but I'd love to somehow have Scully sacrifice her immortality for William to live. And then we are left to believe that Mulder, Scully, and William live happily ever after, and M&S can die of natural causes hand in hand (a la HTGSC) at some point many years down the road. That's my ideal ending.
