Wedding Reception (Drabble)

After Harry had returned to his seat, having just embarrassed his brother about how much he loved his new bride for a full five minutes, William nuzzled into Kate’s shoulder and sighed deeply, ‘That was horrific.’

Kate threw her head back and let out a loud giggle, 'It was cute, I didn’t know you cried when we broke up!’ she smiled sweetly, running her left hand through his hair quickly. 'I did not…’ Will mumbled, looking at Kate as she raised her eyebrows in response, 'Well…I missed you…’ 'Aw, you’re adorable Willy…but you broke up with me, remember?’ she whispered, although the music coming from the other side of the room made it almost impossible for her husband of ten hours to hear. 'Yeah I know…it was the worst decision I ever made.’ he smiled, pulling her onto his lap and kissing the top of her head softly. 'Really? I thought the worst decision you’ve ever made might have been to wear your red suit to our wedding this morning…’ she teased, knowing she had hit a nerve, although she was joking. 'Oi! I got told to wear that! It’s not a 'red suit’, it’s my uniform! And you said I looked sexy in it…’ he frowned. 'You do…but I think you look a little bit sexier now…’ she muttered whilst unbuttoning another one of the buttons on his shirt; the bowtie and jacket had been removed a few hours earlier. 'Oh yeah? Thanks’ he grinned, before grabbing her hand and standing up, dragging her with him towards the dancefloor. 'Will! Where are we going?’ Kate asked, following his lead depite her uncertainty. 'It’s time for our first dance,’ he replied, holding her close to his chest and nodding to Harry, prompting their favourite song to start. Kate smiled. It might not have been the wedding she’d been planning since she was a little girl; if it was then the groom would have worn a simple suit, Ellie Goulding would have been singing through a CD player, not a live microphone, and the entire world wouldn’t have gasped in delight at the first glimpse of her wedding dress. But William was the husband she’d always dreamed of. Kind, caring, generous, slightly funny and extremely handsome. She was in no doubt that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together, and to Kate, that’s all that mattered.

Kiss Cam (Drabble)

William was fed up. After several emotional days cheering on Team GB at the running track and aquatics centre with his wife and brother, he’d had a small disagreement with Kate, which she blew completely and utterly out of proportion. Although he knew full well that they could get through the day without anyone noticing the tension between them had this been any other event, this was, unfortunately for William and Kate, completely different.

The Olympic velodrome was kitted out with the very latest technology; it was heated to the exact temperature needed for the athletes in order to perform to the best of their ability and the bikes were checked several times to ensure there was no cheating.

However, the feature of the velodrome that William couldn’t seem to take his eyes off was the ‘kiss cam’, a pathetic attempt, in his eyes at least, to embarrass people in a public arena. The reason he couldn’t take his eyes off the screen was because despite it zooming in on 'normal’ couples who were all too happy to kiss each other at the sudden demand of the spectators, he knew, without a single doubt in his mind, that it would eventually find him and Kate.

And it did.

'Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!’

The roar from the crowd was almost deafening as William sighed and turned to his wife, his cheeks burning up as he realised that he could see himself on the huge screen in the corner of the arena.

Kate looked heartbroken. He hadn’t meant for their argument to spiral out of control, but it did… ********************************************************************************** ‘Kate, I’m tired! Just because I went to sleep early last night does not mean that I don’t love you anymore!’ ‘I never said that! I’m just saying, all we’ve done is sit and cheer all day for the past week, I don’t see how you’ve become so exhausted!’ ‘Ugh. I’m not listening to this, you’re being ridiculous. You know that I find you attractive, you’re gorgeous!’ ‘Yeah well you’ve made me feel like crap for the last few days, so excuse me for not feeling very attractive. Sometimes you seem like the worst husband ever…’ Kate muttered. ‘Oh! And what’s that supposed to mean?!’ William turned around to face her, wanting answers. ‘You never want to hold my hand or hug me when we’re in front of people; you act like you’re ashamed to be married to me, Will.’ She looked down, worrying that she would burst into tears if she didn’t. ‘Oh for God’s sake, Kate!’ William yelled, storming out of the room, bringing their heated argument to a sudden end. **********************************************************************************

William watched Kate as the shouting became louder, his chest physically aching as he saw tears form in her eyes. It took him only a few seconds to realise that he had the perfect opportunity to make things right with his wife, which he was desperate to do.                ‘Come here.’ William smiled, placing his hand on Kate’s head and pulling her towards him, kissing her lips passionately, to the delight of both the excited crowd and his wife. As they slowly pulled away, Kate looked into his eyes and smiled sweetly. ‘Thank you.’ She whispered, grabbing his hand, ‘I’m sorry.’ William pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly, ‘Me too. You know how much I love you Katie…’ he mumbled into her ear, slightly worried that other people could hear. ‘Of course I find you attractive…’ ‘I know…and I love you too.’ She giggled, pecking his cheek quickly before sitting up straight once more.                Although he was fairly confident about the fact that a picture of him kissing his wife would be all over the newspaper the next day, William found it hard to care. He knew how important little kisses and cuddles were to his wife, and he vowed never to make her feel like he didn’t care about her ever again. He may have disliked the idea of making his relationship more public than it needed to be, but if it made Kate happy then it was something he was more than willing to do.

Flirt (Drabble)

William knew that today would be a long day. He had just spent some time with his brother making telephone calls to seal charity deals, as well as a fair amount of laughing and joking, coming mainly from Harry. Before heading to the funeral of one of his father’s dearest friends, he had decided to quickly check on his wife and son. William didn’t like to leave them for longer than an hour or two without at least a call or text to see how they were doing; he had become even more protective now George was a part of his life, and was adamant that he would take care of his little boy as much as he possibly could.

‘Kate?’ William chirped, closing the front door behind him. He could hear his son screeching from the lounge, so followed the sound to find George completely mesmerised by his new toy mobile, his wife, however, was completely silent. ‘Kate?’ Will asked once more, ‘I’m home…’ he walked over to the sofa and sat next to her, smiling at the sight of George smiling and kicking his little legs whilst attempting to play with his new favourite toys. ‘I can only stay for ten minutes or so, but I thought I’d come back and see what you’re up to before I go…’ William slowly realised that his wife wasn’t occupied with their son, she was just ignoring him. ‘Kate?’. ‘Yep. That’s fine. You do whatever you want, Will. You always have.’ Kate stood up and walked over to the other side of the room, gathering up George’s other toys that had been scattered all over the lounge. William was confused. All he had done was go to a charity event for a few hours, which Kate had encouraged him to do and happily kissed him goodbye that very morning. But now he was in her bad books, and he had no idea why. ‘Have I done something wrong?’ Kate looked up at him angrily. ‘Oh, I don’t know…you tell me.’ William sighed. ‘I don’t know what I’ve done…’ he mumbled quietly. The one thing he couldn’t stand was Kate being angry with him. She was, without a doubt, the one person he trusted and loved the most in the world, and the fact that he had upset her made him feel ashamed and disappointed with himself. ‘The TV was on while I was cleaning up Will…Harry said you were flirting with someone…were you?’ Kate looked into his eyes, knowing that he couldn’t lie to her once she had demanded that he tell her the truth. ‘No! I wasn’t flirting…she was a nice woman…I was just talking to her…’ ‘And what was she saying to you?’ Kate questioned, standing up and walking over to him, wanting to know exactly what this woman had said whilst ‘flirting’ with her husband. ‘Nothing, just that she thought I was handsome and that I had a nice voice…it’s stupid Kate…’ ‘Well it’s not stupid to me! I’m here, sat at home looking after George and you’re out talking to some random woman who obviously fancies you, it’s embarrassing!’ Kate exclaimed, her voice wavering as she tried her best not to cry. ‘I haven’t done anything wrong! Harry was joking! It was just a normal phone call, you’re completely overreacting Kate…’ ‘Oh just go, William. And try not to snog any of the women when you get there, you are supposed to be married, remember?’ she scoffed, waving her ring finger at him as he walked towards the door. ‘For fucks sake…’ Will muttered as he slammed the door behind him, feeling completely unprepared to attend the funeral. ********************************************************************************** After one of the most gruelling and depressing days he had experienced in recent years, William breathed a sigh of relief as he got into the back of the car and was driven home. After everything he had seen and heard throughout the day, he just wanted to go home to his family. But then he remembered that his wife couldn’t stand him. ********************************************************************************** Kate felt awful. She hadn’t meant to snap, but she and William hadn’t been intimate since she had given birth to George and to hear the words ‘William’ and ‘flirting’ in the same sentence drove her crazy. She knew he would never cheat, he was the best husband she could have possibly wished for. However, she began to doubt her abilities as a wife, after being horrible and snapping at him minutes before he went to a funeral.

********************************************************************************** William held his breath as he unlocked the door, only to find that Kate and George were upstairs. He walked upstairs and walked into the spare room, the eerie silence engulfing the entire house suggesting to him that he was still in trouble and should probably avoid his wife until the morning. Kate, however, didn’t feel the same way. She noticed the light in the spare room was on and stood in the doorway quietly, watching her husband take his suit jacket off sadly. ‘Are you okay?’, she whispered, not wanting to wake up their son who had not long fallen asleep. ‘ Mmm, I’ll be fine.’ William forced a smile and slowly looked up at his wife before looking back down at his shoes as he untied the laces and took them off. ‘I’ll sleep in here tonight, I know you’re still mad at me…which is fine, I probably shouldn’t have said anything to that woman…’ Kate’s heart started to ache as she watched William’s shoulders sink. Her original plan was to make him grovel and then forgive him, but looking at how drained and sad he was, she couldn’t do it. Kate walked over to William, who was sat on the bed, and kneeled down next to him, removing his dark blue tie and undoing the buttons on his shirt for him. ‘You’re not sleeping in here. Don’t be silly.’ She smiled, looking into his eyes. ‘You’re sleeping in our bed, with me. I’m sorry Will, I overreacted. I just get so jealous when I see or hear about you talking to other women, I don’t know why…’ ‘It’s okay, I’m sorry too.’ ‘No!’ Kate argued, ‘You don’t need to be sorry, today must have been sad enough for you, you didn’t need me making it worse. I’ll make it up to you, Will, I promise.’ She smiled, kissing his lips softly as she stood up and grabbed his hand. ‘Shall we go to bed?’ William nodded and headed towards their room, ‘Okay…I love you…’ Kate giggled quietly, happy that she was going to fall asleep in her husband’s arms once more, ‘I love you too’.

Jealousy.

It had been a long day for William. He had arrived home only a few hours ago after being at work for 16 hours and he was now caught in the middle of an argument with his wife. Kate hadn’t had it much easier either; looking after George had recently become more of a task as he had started teething, and he was more desperate for his mummy’s attention than ever.

               ‘I just don’t see why it’s that much of a problem!’ Will stated angrily, ‘I’ve been at work all week! Harry’s asked me if I want to go out with him tomorrow night and I said yes!’ ‘I’ll tell you why it’s a problem William!’ Kate responded without hesitation, ‘I haven’t been out for one night since George was born, and he’s teething so I’m more tired than I’ve ever been! I thought you could maybe look after him for a few hours while I go and see Pippa on Sunday, but there’s no chance of that if you’re out clubbing in London! Sometimes you go on as if you have no responsibilities at all!’ William sighed loudly, ‘Oh that’s ridiculous! You don’t want to go out! Ever! No-one asks you, and even if they did, you wouldn’t go!’ As soon as he said it, Will regretted it, as his wife slowly looked up at him with tears forming in her eyes. ‘That’s not fair.’ She whispered, looking down at the floor again. William’s heart sank in his chest. He hadn’t meant to upset his wife, but in an anger-fuelled speech he had blurted out something he really didn’t mean, and she was deeply hurt by it. ‘You can go.’ She mumbled. ‘Do whatever you want.’                As Kate sniffled lightly and wiped away a stray tear as it trickled down her cheek, their living room became filled with the sounds of George babbling quietly through the baby monitor, rather than their argument that had come to an abrupt end. William stomped into his son’s bedroom where he was sat up in his crib, his eyes becoming wider and a grin appearing across his face at the sight of his daddy. ‘Hello little man! Daddy’s missed you today!’ Will whispered, picking up his five month old son and rocking him in his arms until George became sleepy once more, and began to drift off to sleep for the second time that night.                It was at that point that William truly realised how much of an idiot he was being. Perhaps it was due to him spending so much time at work that he had forgotten just how much he loved his little boy and he hated seeing him in so much pain as his first teeth were coming through. As he tucked George back into bed and kissed him goodnight, Will heard Kate crying quietly in the living room, which made him feel ten times worse than he already did. He took a deep breath and walked back into the room, immediately kneeling down next to Kate who was curled up on the sofa in tears, and took her hands in his own.                ‘I am so sorry.’ Will said quietly, looking his wife straight in the eye and wiping her tears with his thumbs gently as she gradually met his gaze before looking away once more. ‘I don’t want to go anywhere this weekend, and I’m an arsehole for saying what I did.’ ‘Yes, you are an arsehole.’ Kate muttered, wrapping her arms around Will’s neck and burying her face in his shirt. Will chuckled quietly, ‘I didn’t mean it, and I don’t want to go out. I think I’ve just forgotten how much I love you two recently because I’ve barely seen you. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.’ He looked up as Kate broke into a smile. ‘You’re absolutely sure? Because you can go, it’s fine…’ ‘Nope, I want to stay here with you…unless you want to go out with Pippa?’ Will asked. ‘No…I just want to stay with you.’ Kate whispered, kissing her husband’s forehead tenderly. William grinned as he placed a kiss on his wife’s soft lips as she sighed and snuggled into him further.                A few minutes later, William and Kate were wrapped in each other’s arms on the sofa, flicking aimlessly through TV channels and talking about anything and everything. Kate was right, William had decided, about him acting as though he was still a single man without a care in the world. But he wasn’t – far from it. He had an amazing wife and a young son to take care of, which meant his days of partying hard with his younger brother were pretty much over. Not that he minded. Harry might have had the more vibrant, exciting life, but William was convinced that coming home to Kate and George every night meant that he had the better lifestyle. Although earlier on in the day he might have preferred his brother’s wild nights of clubbing and getting drunk, as he watched his wife giggling at the television and heard his son’s gentle snores coming from the other room, he knew he wasn’t jealous of Harry. Not at all.

Interrupted (Drabble)

‘Come on…we don’t have to be anywhere for an hour and a half…’ William whined, grabbing his wife’s hand as she stood up to walk to the kitchen. ‘I don’t care Will, I’ve just got ready and it’s taken me ages to make my hair look right, you’ll ruin it!’ Kate responded, snatching her hand away and walking to the kitchen and getting herself a glass of water.

             William sighed. They were due to appear at an event in London later that morning, and since both he and his wife needed a good night’s sleep in order to appear in public without stifling a yawn and struggling to keep awake, their 2 month old son had spent the night with Kate’s parents. However, they were still somewhat exhausted, as instead of getting a full night’s sleep for the first time since little George had entered the world, William and Kate had spent the night reacquainting themselves with each other’s bodies, having sex for the first time in months. As much as Kate had enjoyed it, her mind was solely focused on the engagement that she was attending in two hours. William, on the other hand, had other ideas.                ‘I won’t ruin it; I won’t touch your hair I promise…’ William pleaded as he watched her walk back into the living room. ‘We have ages before anyone’s coming to get us, please…’ ‘No…You can wait until we get back…you’re a big boy, I’m sure you’ll be fine.’ Kate replied, ruffling her husband’s hair playfully and kissing his forehead as he grumbled. ‘George will be back then and we’ll be too busy…’ ‘Oh Will, stop moaning!’ Kate snapped, looking her husband in the eyes as he grabbed her and pulled her down onto the sofa with him, his lips meeting hers in a rough, passionate kiss.                Kate knew that was it. Once Will had gotten his way, he would ensure that he finished what he started…and she couldn’t say she wasn’t going to enjoy it. Before she knew it, Kate was straddling her husband on their sofa, their clothes thrown haphazardly around their living room as they kissed each other eagerly, almost desperately. William had seen his wife naked for the first time in three months the previous night, and he was far from willing to go that long again. Even though his attention had been on his newborn son in recent weeks, nothing could even come close to the way he felt about Kate…not now, not ever.                Their spontaneous burst of passion was to be short lived, unfortunately. Rebecca Deacon, Kate’s private secretary, walked up the path to their house, grabbing the key she had been given and unlocked the door. She had been asked by Kate to come and remind them when they had thirty minutes before they had to leave. However, as she opened the door, all three of them began to regret making and agreeing to that request.                ‘Your Royal Highness? I’m just here to remind – Oh my God!’ Rebecca exclaimed, trying her hardest to remain composed at the sight of the future King and Queen of England practically naked before her. William grabbed a blanket and wrapped both him and Kate inside it tightly as Kate mumbled without making eye contact, ‘Thank you Rebecca…we’ll be ready in half an hour.’ ‘Okay…’ Rebecca sighed with relief, running out of the house and locking the door quickly behind her. Kate slumped down onto William’s chest. ‘That was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. What am I going to do now?! I can’t look her in the eye!’ William smirked, his face still bright red with embarrassment, ‘We’re paying her, she’ll have to get over it’, he laughed as he reached under the blanket, cupping Kate’s bum gently, ‘Besides, she got to see your amazing arse, so I’d say she’s had enough perks for one day…’ ‘Oh, shut up Will!’ Kate giggled, giving her husband one last kiss before getting up and picking up her clothes, putting them on and wandering into the bedroom to sort her hair out. William chuckled quietly, although it was extremely embarrassing to be caught practically having sex with his wife by a member of their staff, he knew they would remember it for the rest of their lives. He was sudden brought back to reality when he heard the panicked voice of his wife, making him smile once more: ‘I told you you’d mess my hair up, idiot!’

‘A Proper Couple’ (Drabble)

Will looked at the clock which read 23:39. Kate had promised that once Fergus and Olivia had gone to bed she would come into his room, but it seemed that she had forgotten or had fallen asleep. They had only been going out for two months, but as they had yet to tell anyone about their blossoming relationship, sneaking around and acting like they were single in front of their friends had began to take its toll on both William and Kate.

               Will sighed and closed his eyes; if Kate didn’t want to spend the night with him then he thought he should get some sleep. However, as soon as he turned over in his bed, Kate crept into his room quietly before immediately jumping into bed beside him. ‘I’m sorry I took so long!’ she whispered as her teeth were chattering. ‘My bedroom window wouldn’t close and I didn’t want to wake those two up, I’ve just managed to close it but my room is absolutely freezing!’ Kate looked up at Will and smiled at him before pecking his lips and greeting him properly, ‘Hi.’                ‘Hi…’ Will laughed quietly in response, ‘You’re shivering! Come here.’ He mumbled, taking Kate into his arms and rubbing her back gently as she sighed and relaxed into his strong, masculine frame. ‘I know, I’m sorry…I would’ve put some warmer clothes on but I thought that would take even longer and you might have fallen asleep so…’ ‘Kate!’ Will chuckled, ‘it’s fine, don’t worry! I’ve got some warmer stuff you can wear, give me a second…’                William climbed out of bed and grabbed a polo shirt and some football socks before throwing them at Kate, who giggled quietly and put them on, grinning as she did so. ‘Thank you…your shirt smells nice’ she chirped, as Will frowned at her comment. ‘Does it? Alright then…’ he laughed. ‘Yes! You always smell amazing…’ she replied, feeling her cheeks burn up as she blushed furiously at what she had just said. Will let out another hearty laugh, ‘Aw that’s nice, thank you…so do you.’ He kissed her cheek delicately as he got back into bed with her, wrapping an arm round Kate’s body protectively as she cuddled up to his chest once more.                Half an hour went by, they shared jokes and stories with each other, as well as a fair few kisses, before Will blurted out what had been on his mind all day as he lay playing with his girlfriend’s hair lazily: ‘Do you think we should tell people?’ Kate sat up and looked into his eyes, ‘Why? I mean – do you think we should tell people?’ ‘Well…’ Will sighed, ‘Not really…but I hate us having to sneak around the house so maybe we could just tell Fergus and Olivia, they won’t tell anyone will they?’ ‘No…it’d be nice not to wait until midnight to see each other I suppose’ Kate giggled, as she looked up to William and kissed him softly. Will smiled against her lips, ‘We’ll tell them tomorrow then, but in the meantime…’ he whispered in her ear before kissing her back with more passion than ever, a mere taste of what was to follow that night.                They were going to become a ‘proper couple’. And even though William was worried that the whole world would soon find out and demand to know everything about his beautiful girlfriend, he knew that they would be okay. Because Kate loved him, and there was no doubt that he loved her.

Request: Maybe you could write about today. As Kate was in the supermarket how William was coping with taking care of georgie all by himself.

‘Alright Georgie, it’s just me and you now!’ William cooed at his five week old son. Kate had just left to go to the supermarket, so he was the sole carer of his baby boy for an hour or so. William was secretly worried about this fact, Kate had looked after George on her own while he had been at work for several hours and was absolutely fine; in his eyes she was the perfect mother. She was caring, loving and her eyes lit up whenever she saw her little boy, as did George’s – he was sure of it. But despite Kate not putting a foot wrong with George, William couldn’t help but feel he still wasn’t cut out for looking after a baby on his own, even his own child. Thirty minutes passed and William’s fears had slowly started to fade away. Spending time with his tiny son was a joy he had only recently discovered, and he found it difficult to believe how much it had changed him as a person. Watching George as he babbled away happily, William thought about how a single tear rolled down his cheek moments after the birth of his son. He didn’t think he could have been prouder of his wife, or the slightest bit happier in that moment. George was perfect. There was no denying it, he looked the double of his father and Kate seemed to be extremely happy about the fact that her husband and her baby shared the same big blue eyes and joyous smile, which of course made William happy too. He didn’t think that, after what had happened to him as a boy, he would ever find someone he loved or who loved him as much as Kate did. He often lay awake at night convinced he would ascend to the throne a single, childless man who was as miserable as sin. However, he now had a beautiful wife and an adorable son. Although he wasn’t particularly looking forward to becoming King, he knew that with the support of Kate and their child, as well as possibly one or two more in the future, he could cope. And he intended to. ‘I’m home!’ Kate said, grunting slightly as she attempted to lift two heavy shopping bags onto the kitchen counter. She was expecting William to reply but couldn’t hear anything, not even George crying or Lupo’s bark. She walked into the living room, somewhat apprehensive about having left her husband in charge of their baby for just over an hour. What she saw, however, put her mind immediately at rest. William was snoring lightly on the sofa, with George curled up on his chest sleeping soundly. As she scanned the rest of the room, she noticed even Lupo had started to doze off next to the radiator, much to her delight. ‘Aw,’ she whispered, walking over to Lupo and ruffling his fur gently, ‘are all my boys sleepy?’. She giggled quietly and walked over to the sofa, kissing George and then William on the head carefully before placing a blanket over the pair of them. Kate had no idea what she was so worried about. William was going to be a great father.

Bath Time (Drabble)

Bath time.

               Something I’d always considered relaxing and peaceful, and even quite fun on the rare occasion that I’d share it with my husband. However tonight it was most definitely not the case. It was our first night at home with our day old son and we had decided to give him his first bath.

               ‘Okay, you hold him and I’ll test the water’ Will said, passing George to me as he rolled up his sleeve. ‘I’ve just tested it! It’s fine!’ I protested whilst cradling my little boy. He’d been asleep for a few hours and was starting to get upset, but as William took him into his strong arms once again, he immediately calmed down. ‘Okay, just lie him down gently and I’ll get the sponge’ I said, getting up and walking into the nursery to try and find what I was looking for. Truth be told, I was worried George was going to start screaming; I know most babies don’t like being bathed straight away and even though he’s only properly been in my life one day, I can’t bear to see him upset. My fear soon subsided as I walked back into the bathroom and heard Will’s coos. George’s eyes were wide open and he seemed mesmerised by the rubber duck my husband was holding in his right hand. ‘He loves it!’ Will smiled as I kneeled down once again, taking the duck and laughing as George flapped his arms about excitedly. ‘Yeah he does! I can’t believe it’ I replied, sighing with relief that his ‘little man’ was happy being in the water, ‘He can have swimming lessons soon then!’ I laughed, ‘Not just yet Will, now you hold him and I’ll wash him, okay?’ ‘Yep’ he grinned, holding George underneath the water carefully.                A few minutes later, our little boy was out of his first bath, wrapped in a warm towel and cuddling up to his daddy on the sofa, as I got his clothes ready for bed. After putting a nappy and a babygro on him, Will put him to bed before coming back into the living room a while later, where I was still unpacking our bags from the hospital.                ‘He’s asleep…he should be fine for a few hours now’ Will smiled. ‘Ah, thank you for doing that’ I mumbled, stifling a yawn. ‘No problem…you should go to bed, babe, you’ve earned some sleep’ he whispered, kissing me on the head as I stood up. ‘I will, thank you for being so helpful all day’ I muttered into his ear, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing his cheek several times. ‘Oi, I’m helpful every day!’ he moaned, sticking his bottom lip out. ‘Yes you are cutie pie’ I cooed at him tugging at his lip with my thumb and forefinger as he grumbled, he hates it when I treat him like a baby. I suppose I don’t have to anymore now we have George, but William will always be my baby, no matter what. ‘Now…are you going to come to bed with me?’ ‘Yes I am’ Will grinned, grabbing me by the hand as we walked into our bedroom, where George was snoring lightly in his crib. ‘Maybe tomorrow you can wash me while I have a bath?’ William whispered as we got into bed. ‘Mmm…we’ll see’ I giggled, kissing him on the lips as I snuggled into his chest, watching our little boy snoozing peacefully until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer.                Although I know my life won’t be as peaceful as it was anymore, not that it was ever completely tranquil with my husband constantly playing practical jokes on me, I’m looking forward to it more than anything, especially since I get to bring up George with William by my side, which is all I’ve ever wished for.
