What is the longest book you’ve read this year? And do you care about the length of a book? My friends already know that if a book is longer than 450 pages there’s a slim chance of me reading it (unless it’s a series continuation). I don’t like long books, I don’t like minimum word limits on essays, I don’t like the “the more you write, the better” mentality of university. If you can’t get your idea across in a short and sweet manner, did you even get your idea across at all? Sorry, that might be a bit harsh, but you get it. Also, I’m more of a fan of stand-alone books than book series, especially if the series has more than three books in it 🙈 Now back to the first question, my longest read book this year is Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackaray at a beautiful 694 pages 😍 And yes, I will bring this up in every bookish conversation I have until I read Middlemarch or something longer, thank you for asking 😊 #books #bookstagram #vanityfair #williammakepeacethackeray #classics #classicliterature #classiclit #classicscommunity #literature #bookstagrammer #academia #academiaaesthetic https://www.instagram.com/p/CJEM--DAiqw/?igshid=lfzp4o7q41ma
