Published in 2020 by William Souder: Mad at the World. ALife of John Steinbeck. I just finished it. And it’s really a great read. If you ever read Cannery Row, or The Grapes of Wrath, or Tortilla Flats, or Travels with Charley, or East if Eden, or The Pastures of Heaven, or any of his other works (or if you just want to read about the complicated - and always very likable - man who left us all these gems), this is a great book to start! #johnsteinbeck #madattheworld #williamsouder #greatread And I never knew that he lived part of his life(and died) just a few streets away from here.
