People have told me that Qwear literally saved their life

Dear Qwear fam,

When people know a trans person, or see trans people in the media, they are less afraid of us and less likely to be violent.

This is why Qwear is SO important to me. It's a platform for all LGBTQIA+ people to be seen, particularly those who are most marginalized.

What ultimately got gay marriage passed? Gay people became more visible until everyone knew at least one out gay person. It's a lot harder to hate us when we are your friend/ neighbor/ coworker/ family member, etc.

The same thing is now happening to trans people. We are coming into the spotlight and eventually people won't be able to discriminate against us without hurting someone they know personally.

Ultimately it is visibility that is going to change the landscape. We need to be seen.

Trans people attempt suicide at a 41% rate. People have told me that Qwear literally saved their life. The greatest gift you could give me and my team is the opportunity to save more lives.

We've gotten really far on a shoestring budget, but we can't do more without your help.

Its tough. Yes. And I know it seems like we can't do much to change things.

But we can vote.

Is it a perfect system? Hell no.

Are the GOP doing everything they can to cheat us out of having a voice? Definitely.

Despite all the cheating, rigged polls, and Gerrymandering, we still need to get out there and vote. Nothing happens if we stay silent.

They can't take our voice away. They definitely cant erase us.
