MMmmm..
A dryad is bonded to a single soul tree.
But a dryad is is meant to take care of, and has the power and out put of all trees of the same type as it within its home.
This means the dryad can keep that place safe.
It also means that a dryad can make sure all its sisters can stay healthy without needing to rely on nature. Plants need food and water. A dryad can get water. It can get food.
If a creature dies in a forest, then, in time it will rot and feed the trees. A dryad that wishes to do their best for their home can skip that part.
But you know, I’m just dressing it up.
