So I reread your series a lot and this time I noticed that you keep saying "Its not like Thomas is going anywhere," or something similar and it's making me think that something is gonna happen to Thomas!
Anyways, I finally read your newest chapter of dead poets society (I think that's what the Roman and Virgil one is called) and it's really good!! I really wasn't expecting Roman to tell Art!!
sometimes the simplest solution is to tell the truth, even if it seems like a bad idea.
Well, I mean, idealy, Thomas would be able to move on and not be a ghost any more and go to Heaven or whatever's next.
But it's mostly just Thomas being depressed at being trapped as a ghost.
the other day I was daydreaming about what I'd do with money. and I was like 'with one day's income from Elon Musk, I could buy that old hotel and turn it into a homeless shelter. Then the homeless people would have an address, a safe place to leave their stuff, and access to basic amenities. With that, they would be in a better place to rejoin society or find resources they needed.'
I might even have enough to get my house fixed after that
no one should have that much money.
I just used my pocket knife for something and realized there are people out there who are so fixated on 'a knife is a weapon' that they don't realize it is just a little metal claw that makes your life easier.
Like. come on. Pretty much any tool can be used to hurt someone.
At Pennsic War, a temporary SCA town of about 10,000 many things go on. The Fool's Parade, the Longship Burning, the Ceremonial Blowing of the War Horn. We have our own rituals and rituals borrowed from historical cultures. (for a while there was a version of a fertility ritual where a bunch of men in loincloths carried around a giant penis. not my favorite.)
Last Pennsic I was alone in my shop after dark and I heard a group of people going past. I peered out and caught kimonos and lanterns and demon masks. Fox masks. Puppets. And I was like 'oh okay' and went back to brushing my hair.
When my mother and sister got back, I told them a Demon Parade had passed. my mother asked if I got pictures.
'Hell no." I told her 'I'm not leaving the house during a demon parade! That's asking for trouble.'
people tell me 'oh you're so nice and patient, you should get a job with children.'
wrong. I want my interactions with children to be a brief memory of a strange woman who may or may not have been a witch.
There needs to be a special catagory for shows you don't watch on purpose but end up seeing in waiting rooms.
Like I'd never turn on the Housing Crisis channel but I've seen more than I want.
Maybe I was just raised different, but if someone started telling me how special and different and better than the other people around me I was I would try to leave, because they probably want to steal my body or experiment on me or something.
