“My love for real estate and business made my vision possible,” said first generation Salvadorian, Heber Jobany Martinez . Heber was born and raised in Wilmington and remains a Wilmington resident and entrepreneur. He invested in Wilmington in 2016 and opened up his own Mexican taco shop called “Quiero Más Tacos. “ “I was always surrounded by the Mexican culture, I even married a Mexican native from Michoacan (Mexico)." His mother in-law’s authentic homemade cooking inspired the menu. “I believe Wilmington has a lot of great people that come out of here, I don’t know anything else but Wilmington.” His love for Wilmington made him seek success as a restaurant owner. “Putting up a business is risky, I have a family, I have a mortgage and bills to pay. I’m willing to take this risk because I want to hand my kid a job. I’m a first generation Salvadorian here in the United States. My parents came from El Salvador and like many of us, they they came here for a better future. They got a job and they did what they had to do in order to survive. I don’t want to do the same for my kids, I don’t just want to work all the time and not have time for them."
