Five more minutes to go and I've already finished my homework.. Now what should I do?

Hazy Distraction || OPEN
The corridor is crowded as classes let out and Charlotte drags a hand through her dark hair as she shoulders her way through the knots of students. She throws a loose smile to familiar faces but her head swims with other things. It's been a few weeks now and she's had her fun, her drinks and her drugs, but in an attempt to see what would happen, she's evaded every temptation to return to her guiltiest secret activity.
And the need has only gotten worse.
Her teeth sit on edge and she had woken up late this morning, she hadn't been able to take her usual detox potions and shake off the crash and hangover from her night of debauchery. Only a half-finished pain potion and her charmed cuff bracelets keeping her long sleeves from riding up even by accident. With no time for her usual regimen, it had to suffice in a pinch but she still feels a bit exposed.
However, it's day time and during the day, Charlotte is always fine. Because she has to be. The itch in the back of her mind and the throb in her temples that tells her the pain potion is wearing off can't deter her from smiling as easily as usual. It does distract her enough that it takes her a few minutes to realise that there's someone now walking at her elbow and speaking to her.
"I'm sorry," she says, blinking away her pain and spiraling thoughts. She gives the person an apologetic grin, "Were you saying something?"
It's good to be back, believe it or not.
