rifle could sense things that most other people couldn’t, that was normal for him, and maya understood that. so it was safe to assume that he would have been able to tell that she wasn’t the same as she’d been in years past.

       sure, she might have looked the same on the outside ( a little questionable, really-- people changed over the years, even physically ), but she definitely wasn’t the same on the inside.

         she’s probably being way more upset and dramatic about the situation than was really necessary, but she was tired. she just wanted to chill with rifle and dean without people bugging them.
