There's tale of a strange phenomen within the lands of the wind flight. Dragons traveling alone are warned to be wary of the whisper-winds. Whisper-winds, or whispers for short, may appear as an area of intense or brutal winds. However, upon closer inspection there nature is revealed to be far more...sadistic. Instead of the normal howling and whistling of the wind, singing voices seem to come from the storm. They beckon dragons to join them in their merryment and joy. Once a dragon enters the affected area, their fate is sealed. Vaguely dragonic shapes can be seen dancing, and one can't help but to join in their play. It's nearly impossible to leave the 'party', and dragons stay there until their life aura slowly drains, and they become like the wind itself.

Location: Tradewind Travelers

An open-air temple nestled in the Reedcleft Ascent, this building is home to an organization of dragons whose main goal is to discover the entirety of Sorienth and beyond. While it does have stairways, the arcitecture is designed to let dragons glide from floor to floor, as well as fly into the building from long days of traveling. Beds, food, drink and supplies are avaible to those who partake in the organization. While the main base of operations is located in Wind, the Tradewind Travelers have smaller monasteries scattered across the land. There's at least one in each flight for dragons to rest at, as well as gather information and explore the flight. The temples aren't kept a secret, although they can be difficult to find if you don't have exact directions. Members of the Tradewind Travelers are given directions to each temple, and are provided with rations, journals and quills and a place to stay.

Location: The Bastion

A complicated and ramshackle amalgamation of wood, metal, rope and canvas forms the bustling trade port of The Bastion. Built of many smaller vessels connected to a central airship via rope bridges and boardwalks, the sprawling structure has a permanent berth on the edges of the Cloudsong. The Bastion is kept aloft by vast wing-like sails as well as a number of vibrantly coloured hot air balloons. The docks can only be reached by flight, vessel or wing, with ferry services operating at all hours to various locations across Sornieth. With firm rules around violence enforced by the resident leadership and militia, the Bastion provides refuge for travellers and a hub for trade. Accepting all visitors, dragons and beasts, the town boasts a huge bustling marketplace as well as a tavern, bunkhouse, theatrical district and a variety of magical services - a prime place to spend treasure and share stories.

Location: The Wanderer’s Wassail

The Wanderer’s Wassail is located on top of and within a partially hollowed out pillar in the Reedcleft Ascent. It is owned and run by Luzula and Julep (#33487213 & #34444968). Locals and those familiar with the Wanderer’s Wassail often use its nickname, “the Party Pillar”. The top of the pillar is lightly forested on the outer edges, leaving a large clearing in the center for gatherings and festivities. The main pub building is located up top, with secondary entrances to the underground portion carved into the pillar’s sides. The brewery is located entirely within the pillar. The pub is in close proximity to the Windmarrow Clan's Town to the south and the dragon-friendly (to an extent) Reedwhistle Harpy Flock to the east. Because of this, both dragons and beastclans are welcomed customers.

Location: Golden Skies Academy for Flight

Stretching from the Reedcleft Ascent all the way to the Cloudsong itself, the academy is very much like a University for flight, except that it teaches flight at all levels. Given its prestige, not everyone can afford to attend the Academy, but it promises that the money spent is well worth it, having trained some of Sornieth's top flyers in both sport and career. The main building is located in Reedcleft Ascent, teaching young dragons the basics of flying and fast-flying for sport at junior levels, while those looking for their certification in extreme flying will find themselves training in one of the smaller schools on top of the Cloudsong.

The academy at higher levels, teaches extreme flying through all sorts of terrain and weather. Because of this requirement, it has several smaller schools scattered across Sornieth to teach flying through different terrains, and also making its doors more accessible to those outside the Windswept Plateau.

Location: The Aviary

The Aviary (as the locals have taken to calling the area) is Gryphon territory. Bordered on one side by a swooping cliff, and the other by a high mesa, the area is thick with lush forest. The centre of the territory is where the gryphon population concentrates, with roosts in every rock face, and the flats littered with bone from the kills of many hunters. The gryphons have claimed a ruined terrace, too, with a thermae- an ancient bathhouse- at the centre. The pools now double as both drinking and bathing water, while the intricate hangings and carvings have been defaced by generation upon generation of gryphon claws. Travellers should be wary of the old road that winds its way through the forest, for it leads to the Aviary, and an aviary of gryphons is never a good place for a dragon to venture, no matter how bold.
