What kinds of music do you listen to while writing wind songs in the pine? (BIG fan of that btw love your work)

I have a general Zutara playlist that I listen to when working on Wind-Songs. It’s also the playlist I’ve had on repeat while working on things for Zutara Month! It can be found here. Occasionally, I try to add songs to it when I hear one that reminds me of Zutara.
I also listen to a lot of classical music when I work on Wind-Songs because it’s a genre that aligns more with the setting of the story. I gravitate towards cello or violin music. Sometimes I listen to piano as well.
Though I do listen to music while I work on it, Wind-Songs is a different project compared to my other Zutara pieces. It relies heavily on inspiration from the Anne of Green Gables novels as those are what inspired me to begin writing that AU. Because of this, I always have the novels close at hand for narrative inspiration, as well as the first two Sullivan adaptations for visual inspiration. I try to work bits of ATLA canon into the story as well. So in chapter five, when Katara falls off the roof at Mai’s party, you get a little snippet of dialogue between her and Zuko that’s similar to the first scene in “The Southern Raiders” (we all know the scene 😉).

Is it better to watch Anne of Green Gables 80’s movies first or the Anne with an E series? I’m trying to watch it first before reading your fic tho idk where to watch the movies.
Hi, anon! I love this ask. ☺️ I’d watch the 80s movies. The Anne With an E series has very little to do with the actual books. (The new generation of Anne fans seem to love it, but I was highly disappointed... To put it VERY. NICELY.)
I would watch Anne of Green Gables (1985) and Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (1987). I wouldn’t waste time on Continuing Story. It has no relation to the novels at all and I won’t be using it to inform my fic. Honestly, even the sequel deviates a little bit, but it’s in a forgivable way and still keeps the spirit of the books at its heart (and the end of it is just... 🥰).
You don’t need to watch the movies beforehand. It’s totally cool to go into the fic uninformed, but I get it wanting to have the background. And Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie have my heart forever. There will NEVER be an Anne and Gilbert like them. They are literal perfection. (Also, the books are absolutely incredible and worth a read if you ever want to check them out!)
I own the movies on DVD, but I'm pretty sure the only place to stream it right now is on GazeboTV (they call the sequel Anne of Avonlea over there). I've never used that platform before, so I'm not sure on pricing or free trials or anything. But I can say that the first two movies cost me around $30 when I ordered them on DVD. Not sure if any of this helps.

The Secret: In one chapter, Zuko mentions to Katara that he has family business to attend to. This 100% meant he and Iroh were going to see Azula… And we may or may not be seeing her in the future. 😉
