wind-at-your-back yeah I figured they were different, that's why I elaborated some! and I almost always have my phone on silent or vibrate actually. I def can't imagine getting notifications for emails n junk all night, that would drive me up the wall
wind-at-your-back I don't think so? but I could be wrong. you turn these alerts on or off in the settings on your phone, not through it's own app, and I don't see any volume options. the alerts are in 3 categories: amber alerts, severe warnings and extreme warnings(which may refer to things like tornados, or chemical spills, or a bombing, or whatever other emergencies could happen locally or nationally) I turned off the amber ones for tonight though, yeah.
