Calypso's POV

The broodmares were let outside without blankets for the first time this year due to unlawfully good weather. As you can see some of them are indeed pregnant (Schweppes, Windbrise, Gazelle and Mandalaya), but that doesn't hinder them from running! Even if Windbrise is being cranky AF, trying to kick poor Schweppes.

Lauren's POV

This girl - a mare named Windbrise CF - was supposed to arrive to Echo International Jumpers about three weeks ago. She was being leased out to us as a broodmare who was pregnant with one of our show retired stallions Paradoxis RPH. BUT this girl decided to give birth the day before she was supposed to be transported to us, even if she wasn't supposed to give birth that early.

Today the both of them arrived though. The little guy - the Gods brought us a male finally! - is a spunky foal. He has tons of energy, and loves to stir up trouble whereever he can. Hopefully he and his dam can join the other broodmares, when those who are pregnant has given birth - which should happen some time between this weekend and next week.

He was having a very good time, being let "out" to run in the indoor arena. The outdoor is still too cold for him, but we have ordered some blankets, which will hopefully arrive before the weekend. He hasn't grown thick winter coat yet, and will definitely need a blanket. Until then he will either be in the stall with his mom, and let into the indoor arena a few times a day, so he can spend his energy on not making mischief!

Oh! And his name is EJ Paravelo. I want to get him tested (about his coat), but he probably 'just' carries Tobiano, not nW.
