Sophie had always appreciated the moments of brief rebellion Posy had undertaken for her, even if just for the purpose of sharing a secret smile. While she had always been the most loathed creature in that household, it had still hurt to see that not even being Araminta's biological daughter spared Posy from holding the Silver Medal in their home. Rosamund had always been the jewel, everyone else an extra (if not lesser). Which was why, now that Sophie was free from the Gun household truly, the first thing she wanted was to allow Posy the same freedom given to her. It had only been a brief conversation with Benedict and Lady Bridgerton before it was agreed that the invite be extended. Benedict going as far as to insisting that they'd pay for any dowry as well, fully allowing Posy to be free from the cold iron grasp of her mother --- should she choose it. It was why Sophie waited patiently over afternoon tea, sitting across from the girl she could now call her sister, with zero judgement as she made the offer. It was a big thing, turning one's back on their blood, even if justified. Sophie wanted Posy to know the power and the choice came down to her and her alone. " There is no time limit on this offer, if you wish to think on it. I just want you to feel the happiness that I have begun to feel. You deserve it. " ( @windemerepeaked )
