Spring is here <3
Oi...
Some of you have asked, "Um--are you still alive because...?" Yes I am, obviously. This window farm project has been the bane of my existence/caused so many arguments between husband and I that about THIIIIIIIIIIIIS close to chucking all in the garbage. Probably won't be on much this week until things are running smoothly. Love to all!
Two days after the third harvest from these green onions that have been growing in my window sill. (Just stuck the cut-offs of green onion from the store in the dirt et voila.) There are no drainage holes in the can, and I keep the soil constantly just over full saturation. They grow crazy fast, especially considering it is considerably colder near the window than the rest of the apartment, and I'm using water that is also kept beside the window to water them. Once I get enough growing in a proper cycle, bye-bye weekly 89¢ green onion bill!

Rest in peace, pea plant. You were a valuable member of my window farm, but now you are dead too soon. I'm sorry there were so many issues with the water supply that you up and died on me. I put the lemon balm seedling in your place.
P.S. The water works now. I'm sorry I found a cure far too late for you.
The most inspiring TED talk we've ever seen?
