This is not just any glass; it is something very special that is rarely found in such good condition. It is window glass from the galleon Vasa (which sank in 1628). There are sixteen green rectangular pieces, some of which are intact and some of which consist of several parts. These pieces are mouth-blown, were lead-lined and set in a wooden frame.
Window glass was very expensive in the early 17th century. That is why this glass was used in the Great Cabin, which was particularly luxuriously furnished. Attached is a picture of a reconstruction of what it would have looked like.
