The large-leaved lupine (lat. Lupínus polyphýllus), or many-leaved lupine, blue-pod lupine. I noticed that the petals individually resemble the sails of ships full of wind⛵️🪻

On this shaded raised bed the flowers of Omphalodes verna (creeping forget-me-not, Venus's buttons, blue-eyed Mary, blue navelwort) shone out of this darker part of the garden. This is a vigorous, mat-forming perennial that will form ground-cover in humus-rich soil in light shade.
