Dogs in Space - window mural

Ah the window mural I made!! I had no idea what I was gonna paint at the time. My lovely friend and flatmate suggested the concept of this being like, a star treck style spaceship cockpit. And as i was painting it, he walked past with his mum and said hi. It was like, the month before I moved in with him. I love him. Dogs in Space took place mid summer so the light was sparkling and the high street was warm. This was the last mural painted on this window before we got evicted from the studio.

I wasn’t sure about posting this before, but I’ve finally decided to. Last month I got a call from my cousin, who works in the community center of my hometown, called me and told me an artist ditched on painting he promised to do. At first when I heard paint job, I thought, ‘oh painting th windowsill. I can help.’ Instead, I got more details and found out it was a mural. I don’t have the first clue on how to do a mural (I knew I should’ve taken that summer class), so with help of my friend (who does not want to be seen) helped me make sketches and then paint. It’s not a masterpiece of course, but we were pretty proud of ourselves for our first try. The snowman in my selfie was the practice run with the paint and the sponge brushes they gave us.

Also we weren’t paid, but we got pizza so it was still a win.
