At the end of last year we received two further products from Karcher as part of their ambassador programme.  It has been difficult to give them a try out what with the weather and illness, however, over the weekend I was able to get outside and have a good play so that I could tell you all about them!

The items received are extras for the Window Vac.  The first item I tried out was the extension pole.  It has been designed to tackle hard to reach areas and says that you will still be able to achieve a streak free finish.

In the box you receive two extension poles.  One has a wiping cloth on the end and the other has a cradle to attach the window vac to.  The poles extend from 1.2 m to 2 m. 

I soaked the cloth with some water and window cleaner and went outside to give them a try.  Neither Big Mr A or myself could reach the upper windows on our house even having the pole at full extension and we would need a ladder to be able to clean these.  I did try it out on the downstairs window and, although it was easier to wipe the windows with the cloth on the extension pole, I didn’t find I could get as good a streak free finish with the window vac on the pole.  Although the vac fits very securely into the cradle, it is a little heavy to use when on the pole and I couldn’t get into the corners as easily.

With an RRP of £29.99 I wouldn’t purchase this item.  I don’t really see that we would have much use for it and I did find it tricky to use the vac on the pole.

The next item was the Window Vac Hip Bag.  The bag can be worn around your hips to store your window vac and spray bottle.

The bag is great quality and very handy.  When using the window vac on previous occasions, it can be a pain having to put down one item and pick up the other so, by being able to store both the vac and spray bottle in the hip bag, it would certainly speed up cleaning time!

I do think the bag is a little on the pricey side with an RRP of £19.99, however, it is a useful item and I can see me using it next time I am cleaning the windows with the vac.
