1. Partition the hard drive

Go to ‘Start’ menu and right click on ‘My computer’ to select ‘Manage’

2. Burn Windows 8 DVD

It is now ready to burn the Windows 8 DVD. Insert a blank DVD that you had kept initially into the DVD drive and navigate to the folder where you have saved the downloaded image file. Right-click on the downloaded image file and select ‘Burn disc image.’ Finally click ‘Burn’ after checking the “Verify disc after burning” option.
3. Boot from the disc
Start the installation by booting the PC from the disc. For that you need to check if the disc ‘burnt’ with the Windows 8 is inserted into the DVD drive. If it is there then it is OK to start booting. Normally it takes few seconds after the normal PC boot up before the OS gets loaded. In the intermittent period you get a glimpse of a black screen with certain texts. You can interrupt the booting through that black screen and make the PC boot through the disc.
Once the DVD is ready, you will need to boot from the disc to start the installation. First of all, make sure to put the disc burned with the Windows 8 image into your computer drive. When a PC boots up, the operating system generally takes charge after a few seconds and starts loading itself. This means you have a few seconds before it starts to load, during which a text-based screen with a black background will appear. Here you can interrupt the normal boot-up process to make the PC boot from the disc.
Sometimes you need to press a particular key to obstruct the normal booting process and select the disc booting before the Windows gets loaded. These keys vary from F9-F12 that depends upon the vendor like HP, Lenovo, Dell, Acer etc.
The installation of Windows 8 begins only when your PC boots up with the disc. Here you need to select your preferred language, click ‘Install now,’ enter the product key and then again click ‘Next.’ You are also advised to check the ‘I agree’ box that is about the Microsoft license terms and policy. 4. Select the Destination hard drive space
