Munching on some hors d'oeuvres that were being passed around, Cassandra observed her surroundings as she could see everyone let loose for this new years eve bash. It was safe to say that people were in such high spirits to end the year off, but as for the therapist, she felt...indifferent. To her it was just another night as there was so many things on her mind from her children to her sister, hell even her mother. However, she knew better than to overthink all that at a place like this.
Another round of hors d'oeuvres came her way for the how many-th time and that's when she realized that not many people were paying attention to it and more so drinking the night away. She could see the desperation in the server trying to empty their tray and at this point, Cass took it from them and said, "I got it. If Mr. Sinclair has an issue with it, he can talk to me. Do your next rounds, I'll leave the tray by the bar counter." With all these sequins and glitter on her, surely people would gravitate towards her to fill their stomach up with food. "Want some adult lunchables?" she asked the person nearest to her while holding out the tray. "If you don't get one, I'm going to be sad." Cass deadpanned, but then as she looked up, she realized it was Cormac and chuckled instead. "Oh, it's just you. Feel free to take one or more—if you want...So if you're here that means you're ending the year away from parenting duty, huh?"
