Special Event: Possessed Technology

-It appears that there is a shrieking noise coming from one of the common areas. Okay, there is DEFINITELY a shrieking noise that can be heard throughout the halls nearest to this particular common area. The sound also resembles a demon screaming. Wonder what's up with that?-

REDGLARE: -Wince.  Wow, noise.  That's a lot of noise.  She rubs her ear, starting to make her way into the room to search for the source of the infernal noises.-

WQ: -She happened to be walking by when the noise echoed throughout the ship. Entering the common area with a hand over one of her ears, she poked her head inside to find what or who was making such a racket.-

RUFIOH: -he's heard his fair share of screechy demon noises in his day, fictional or otherwise. Should he be concerned? Maybe. What about mind his own business? It's a "definitely" there. Still, morbid curiosity gets the better of him and he comes up behind WQ, trying to peek around her carapace.- (...someth1ng up?) -asks cautiously, rubbing at his ear in an attempt to shake the ringing sound out-

--In the common area, the noise seems to be coming from the TV, whose volume is ALL THE WAY UP. The sound seems to occur when the television is NOT roaring with the noise of static. Wow, what a terrible noise.--

RUFIOH: -almost disappointed but also pretty relieved. He may dare to creep out into the open.- bruh... -appears bemused.-

WQ: I do believe someone forgot to turn off the viewing box. -she is looking around a little more however, just to be sure that no one is in the room-

REDGLARE: -She grunts.- 1t's m4lfunct1on1ng.  Or... som3th1ng.  To th4t 3ff3ct.

REDGLARE: -She approaches the screen cautiously.-

RUFIOH: -since when do TVs malfunction by themselves? It's maybe a good question but it's not like Rufioh is gonna dare try telling Redglare she's wrong. Have you seen those guns??? Shit man. He goes ahead and searches idly for the remote.-

-The screen goes KSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERREEEEEEE-

REDGLARE: ...1'm go1ng to sm4sh 1t.

WQ: -she's right behind you Redglare- There must certainly be a power button located upon it.

REDGLARE: Sm4sh1ng 1s f4st3r.

RUFIOH: -gives it a look of disapproval and then glances at Redglare. He's still looking for the remote.- let's not... smash 1t.

WQ: It is faster, yet also messier.

RUFIOH: could just unplug 1t or someth1ng. -mutters from his little corner over here.-

REDGLARE: 1'm 4lmost c3rt41n w3 should sm4sh 1t.

REDGLARE: -SHE IS A RESPONSIBLE OFFICER.-

WQ: Though you do say 'almost'.

REDGLARE: ...F1n3, f1nd th3 plug.

-The TV continues its routine. Man, how can you guys even STAND listening to this?-

REDGLARE: -SHE CAN't. SHE'S GOING TO PUNCH IT SOON.-

RUFIOH: -just standing slightly off to the edge, being entirely useful (not) but mostly wary of Redglare. Troll's got some intensity, yo.-

WQ: -she moves to cover her other ear, still looking for the power button-

-The power button is in the front of the television. The plug? Behind it.-

REDGLARE: -She sighs and tries to lean over the TV, to peek at whatever was behind it.-

-There's a little...something tangled up in the wires between the television. A breathing something. A...wheezing something?-

WQ: -does not hold back on the PUSHING of that power button. maybe in excess-

: -The television is off, the static has stopped. But that wheezing sound is still there. And then the SCREECH happens again-

WQ: -slightly jumps. She was not startled by that, nope.-

RUFIOH: -flutters his wings dubiously and dares to approach the grown ups here. Is it... an animal? Should he be concerned?-

REDGLARE: Sounds 4l1v3.

REDGLARE: Who c4n f1t b4ck th3r3?

WQ: -how big is the gap? She's leaning to the side to attempt to see around the TV as well.-

-No one can really fit between the television and the wall, but the television here is moveable-

RUFIOH: -stops in his tracks and lets the adults do... the adult things. Hm.-

REDGLARE: -It is time to LIFT THE TV.  SHE IS THE BEAST.-

WQ: -She grabs hold of one side--or Redglare can hoist it over her head like a heavyweight champ. That works too.-

REDGLARE: B34R 1N M1ND 1 C4N ST1LL SM4SH 1T L1K3 TH1S.

RUFIOH: that's l1ke... publ1c property or someth1ng, r1ght? -eyes Redglare like pls.-

-From behind the television, the screeching continues, but the something that's causing it is still on the floor, wrapped up in cables. It appears to have horns.-

-It appears.-

-To be.-

-A small troll.-

RUFIOH: -then his eyes fall back to the ground.- oh.

ANANYA: -she appears as little frantic, attempting to CHEW ON THE CABLES to get out-

ANANYA: -who knew such a little thing could make such an unholy sound?-

WQ: -Calmly stoops to disentangle her- It is all right, little one. You will be freed shortly.

RUFIOH: -scratches at his chin, uncertain.- 1sn't that... arad1a's wr1ggler?

RUFIOH: pretty sure 1t 1s.

RUFIOH: mystery solved. -steps to the side.-

ANANYA: -she is attempting to bite Qirin and hisses at her-

WQ: -she raised a brow as though to say "pls child." If Ananya does bite her, it'll be like biting a rock, so her choice.-

RUFIOH: -mmmm. Should he intervene?- she looks pretty upset... -On second thought, nah. He just continues to stand there, utilizing his abilities as an onlooker.-

RUFIOH: -oh but he might message Aradia now that he's just standing there. Here comes his communicator.-

REDGLARE: -She pants and breathes heavily, looking down.-  W41t.  1s th4t--

REDGLARE: Who 1s th4t?

RUFIOH: ananya, yo. -typing up a message to send Aradia.-

ANANYA: -low growl, fins pinned back-

RUFIOH: arad1a meg1do's 1n charge of her or someth1ng.

WQ: Ananya. -She repeats, but mostly for retention.- Hello Ananya, would you like to be free of these bonds? If so, I suggest that you hold still. ^_^

REDGLARE: -Still just hoisting the TV.-  How d1d you g3t b4ck th3r3?

ANANYA: -she has no idea what that shelled motherfucker is saying, but she's hissing without moving around much. she does, however, stare at redglare-

REDGLARE: -Shifts and hoists the TV some more.-  4n4ny4. You 4r3 ok4y.  -WHY IS IT STARING-

WQ: There, there. -picking up the wire between her thumbs and forefingers and just trying to be really gentle with this process as she can.-

RUFIOH: 1'm hop1ng arad1a responds to these. -still looking at his comm before he just puts it away.- you need help there or...?

REDGLARE: No.

RUFIOH: uh...

RUFIOH: not... you. 1 mean.

ANANYA: -so much hissing going on right now-

WQ: -to rufioh- You seem to know this wiggler Ananya. Can you please calm her with comforting words and familiarity?

RUFIOH: -seems surprised when he's addressed, and then unsure again.- 1'm not really... -trails off but. The kiddie did look like she was uncomfortable. Rufioh sighs a bit and ends up coming over anyway.-

RUFIOH: hey there, ananya... you good there? we're here to help and all. -messes with the cables as he kneels, keeping his tone gentle.- your mom's supposed to be com1ng soon so... you'll be out 1n no t1me, doll.

REDGLARE: Ch3ck for 1njur13s.  H3r br34th1ng 1s obstruct3d.

RUFIOH: nah, that's just how she 1s 1 th1nk... -checks anyway tho.- 1 saw she was l1ke th1s as a wr1ggler.

ANANYA: -calms down a little when rufioh starts helping and gives him a sad little breathy chirp-

RUFIOH: shh, we got you, doll. -gives her calming head pets and clears the hair from her face.-

WQ: She certainly has a pair of cords when she desires. -continues to get all this wire off of her.-

RUFIOH: -helps in wiggling her out of there, hopefully without stressing her out too much.-

ANANYA: -droopy fins time but it appears like she's all unraveled now-

REDGLARE: -She sits down on the TV stand.  What... calms down wigglers?  Singing? She might be singing. Lowly.-

WQ: -wow, Redglare can sing bass. That's incredible.-

RUFIOH: -what... are u doing, Redglare... Never mind. He won't say anything. She was literally hauling a TV like nbd. He does try helping Ananya up though.-

RUFIOH: -unless she's too tired to try walking in which case, he might carry her instead.-

ANANYA: -she's a bit exhausted from all of that, wheezing.-

ARADIA: -but this is the moment that aradia comes rushing in, wearing her nurse scrubs and looking incredibly relieved- oh wow! im so sorry about that -hurries toward ananya-

ARADIA: is she doing ok?

REDGLARE: -She plops the TV back on its base. Whunk.-

RUFIOH: yeah... 1 th1nk she's just t1red. -decides to pick her up-

WQ: -all but dives outta the way as Redglare puts the TV back down-

RUFIOH: -winces at the loud whunk. He really hopes that TV is sturdy.-

ARADIA: im so happy you guys were around to help her out

ARADIA: thats the last time I let that troll watch her thats for sure

ANANYA: -she seems relieved to see aradia but clutches onto Rufioh-

ARADIA: she seems to like you a lot :)

WQ: -brushes herself off- Who was it who had her in their care?

RUFIOH: 1'm uh... oh. -he hadn't even noticed and ends up flushing a little with Aradia smiling at him like that.- yeah, 1 guess she does. heh.

RUFIOH: -pets Ananya's back in a reassuring way. She's safe now.-

ARADIA: it doesnt matter right now

ARADIA: all that matters is shes safe

ARADIA: -and she's going to give that npc the what for later-

ANANYA: -rests her head on his shoulder-

ARADIA: -thinks- my shift isnt over yet

ARADIA: would you want to watch her until it is?

RUFIOH: d*mn, well... yeah. sure? 1t a1n't no deal. -suddenly baby in his responsibility. He's just holding her up with one arm as she rests her head.-

ARADIA: thanks! -she uncapchalogues a bag with ananya's stuff in it and gives it to rufioh.- heres everything she needs

ARADIA: i have to get back to work but thank you to all of you again

ARADIA: ill have to buy you some drinks later!

RUFIOH: -baby bag in one hand and baby in the other. This is fine.-

WQ: -clasps her hands together in front of her an nods her head- There is no need. There was simply a call and we answered.

RUFIOH: -just kind of standing there, eyeing Ananya's hair. Next time Aradia sees her, she will be in sailor moon style pigtails.-

ANANYA: -and she will love every second of it-

ARADIA: you guys are amazing nonetheless! -she waves- ill pick her up at your place rufioh!

ARADIA: see you guys later! -and she out-

ANANYA: -safe and sound and fast asleep-

WQ: -they are so charming-

REDGLARE: By3.

Oui! would be cool, if you want I could brainstorm or write some stories too and you could illustrate.

That would be awesome! We should do that, brah. We need to get together at a coffee shop or something and just have a creative think-tank. I keep thinking about writing stories about bumblebees and other assorted bugs aaahh!

Mihyang! She saw me with my tablet at VBS and said that I seriously need to do that. I seriously was so touched. She is so nice. <3 Plus I have to come up with some stories to get an honor for Master Guide so I guess this could help with that?
