*screams in anemo* FIGHT ME! (/also hi.)
"Tch." How did he end up getting stuck with this nerd again? Oh, right, at Kusanali's request.
"If we fight you're dead." He's blunt about it, besides what's got the professor so worked up today? Always when a damn puzzle ruin is giving her a hard time it seems.
@windtome -- ;
"Trapped in a ruin for a century? I can't imagine how difficult that must've been, Frau Faruzan."
Sumeru wasn't the sort of place one would think Vennessa would wind up, but with the lifting of her duties to pass on to a human heiress, needing to remain solely within Mondstadt wasn't so necessary anymore. Venti, however, was as free-spirited as ever and wished to see the world above everything else, and of course Vennessa was too happy to acquiesce as his oldest friend. With an itinerary planned to visit the home of the Aranara, they'd stopped for lunch at Puspa Café, the lively epicenter a pleasant place to be that overlooked the turquoise Yazadaha Pool, the shade of palm fronds relieving most of the noontide glare.
Nursing a mug of their signature coffee, she sipped contemplatively.
"Living past the people you once knew... It had to have been difficult."
❝ the fatui lent you that mora madame faruzan, it was not given to you. ❞ a common misconception amongst the masses that accepted the generous patronage of the fatui. it always seemed to become an issue when their dues were to be paid. ❝ i assure you the favor i'm about to ask of you to repay your debt will be of your utmost interest. ❞ the second harbinger helped himself to a seat & crossed a leg over the other. ❝ now if you please, take a seat madame. ❞

❝ hiya, ma'am! ❞
his voice is bright and chipper as he greets her with a small grin on his face. he's a complete stranger to her, so he doesn't want to weird her out before he's even able to ask his question. giving her a small wave, he bounces over to her. excitement is clear on his face as he looks around, searching for something.
❝ i heard there's a super big school in sumeru city! and well.. you see.. ❞
scratching the back of his head, he twists slightly from side to side before kicking his foot.
❝ do you think you could tell me where it's at? or maybe even show me? i've got some really rotten luck. my map got eaten by a boar with mushrooms on it. it was kind of cute. sumeru's wildlife is really cool! in mondstadt, we only have slimes, monsters, and boars to worry about! oh and sometimes treasure hunters. i really don't like those guys. then there's the fatui. i don't like those guys, either. ..anyway, i finally managed to get to the city, but i don't know where to go from here. i'm kinda lost. ❞
the grin has become something more sheepish when he finally stops talking. maybe he shouldn't have ended his spiel sooner. hopefully she can look past the awkwardness of the situation and assist him. if not, he'll have to try again. and again. and again. that would be his luck.

Promptly but without reason, runs at Tetsuya and gives him the biggest hug.
Perhaps its a bit ridiculous that his initial thoughts consisted of:
Who's the demon that's possessed her?
Who is this person and what have they done to Faruzan?
But Tetsuya can not help it, a surprise assault in the form of a hug was the last thing he believed Faruzan to be capable of... especially with him. He furrows his brows at her, waiting for some sort of context or explanation. Were it not for his mercy and quick reaction he would have allowed gravity to take them both, but he did not... because that would be far too embarrassing. "What has gotten into you?" He questions, confused, with arms out encompassing the space she has snugly slotted herself into, unsure of what to do with them. He does catch that his initial reaction wasn't to push her away, but rather make sure to steady himself and catch her, prevent them both from falling over. She has been... strange as of late, more so than even he would deem it normal for her. However in the strange department he would think he has her well beat. He waits for an answer that doesn't seem to come, one that seemingly he isn't going to get. She's hugging him and squeezing him as if she missed him. But her, missing him? In what universe precisely and for why?
And yet, he ponders on when it was the last time he's been hugged like this. Like he's been oh so sorely missed. He despises that such an act can take its damage on him. It has been years after all. He recalls the feeling all too well even if the memory is to erode over time the feeling of an embrace will be something he won't forget. Warm arms, welcoming smiles, a family waving back, it is all in his subconscious even if he denies it or does not desire to come to terms with it. It'll sit there waiting for his acknowledgment when he's good and ready. It's probably why his instinctual reaction wasn't to push her away, at least at first, and it is also that that has him unintentionally indulge if only but for a fleeting moment. A hand finally makes up its mind and hesitantly rests upon the center of her back, digits just barely ghosting the area there.
"... Let go already." The usual bite his demands tend to carry so loudly is a lot quieter this time around in comparison.
@windtome @starsdescent
"You two owe me an apology." He huffs.
Faruzan and Tetsuya, but they do the tortilla slap challenge.
"Hold this L."
