I was re-watching "Where Do We Go from Here" Season 2, Episode 7 of "Walker" and in the scene where August, Colton and Abby are in the kitchen together August tells Colton "Legend has it that the battle of the Walker's and the Davidson's dates all the way back to the 1870's" and Abby said it was true. So I think we have a time period for "Walker: Independence" the 1870's.
Great catch! With it being that close to the end of the US Civil War, I'm hoping we'll see the effects from that, including reconstruction. It's also a great opportunity to include veterans of the war, include those that were disabled (because there were certainly a lot of them).
