Daddy Daughter Day! - Miramonte Winery - Temecula, CA
This place is a MUST!
When you first walk up, you’re greeted by the winery dog Mojo! Soooo cuteee. Not to mention, the vineyard is just a gorgeous sight all together! The views from the Flower Bistro upstairs are breathtaking and the misters keep it super comfortable even when it’s a scorching hot day! (Trust me, we were there on one of those days!)
We got a Groupon deal that was fabulous! Two hour wine tasting tour for two with 10 tastings each! And let me tell you..... I’m normally a red wine snob, but the white wines at Miramonte were spectacular! (Don’t tell my dad I said that!)
((We constantly tease each other back and forth since he loves whites and I love reds)) but after our second trip to Miramonte... this girl might just turn around! I’m telling you. They’re THAT good!
My favorite wines of the day were the Verdelho and the Albariño. The Rosé was also excellent!
My dad also loved the 4 Torch Blanc.
We were really impressed with the staff! Michelle went above and beyond to take care of us. Leo was an excellent tour guide! He knew his stuff! My dad even tried to stump him a few times but his knowledge was impressive and the tour was so fun, the 2 hours flew by! 10 premium tastings and at least 3 food pairings - this was a great deal!
Some of the food parings we loved were one called Lebany, chimichurri sunflower seed spread with tomato on their freshly baked bread. The other was toasted brie cheese with cherry tomato, balsamic reduction, and wild oregano, also on their freshly baked bread. Another was some bread with the sunflower seed spread and some backed apples... (the sunflower seed spread.. I’m telling you!)
The waiters in the Flower Bistro were all really nice as well and the food was great! We had the Spread & Bread (Sunflower spread is AMAZING! I think we both would have preferred just a big bowl of that instead of the trio, but a great appetizer none the less, the bread is fresh and tasty as well). We also shared the Pork/Lamb Sausage Flatbread. AMAZINGGG! I don’t think I ever had lamb before but it was divine!
Afterwards we picked up my dad’s shipment at the wine bar (since he is club member after all!) And we saw our friend Nisreen who is just an absolute doll! She is so sweet and just a delight to talk to while enjoying our wine tasting. (We should have got a picture with her! Next time...)
I’ve been to a lot of wineries in Temecula (and I’m trying new ones all the time) but this one is definitely on my favorites list! My highlight of the visit was definitely the glitzy Stones bottle if you couldn’t tell.. I mean really? Talk about the icing on the cake! Don’t forget, unlike most wineries in the area, Miramonte is open late on the weekends, and with the cute string lights in the bistro and live music, it’s sure to make for a wonderful evening visit as well! One word: Ambiance! Hope you make it a point to come out a visit, you might just see us there!
Cheers!
