Sip & Savour the best of Vancouver Island - Wine & Culinary Guide

Wineries, cideries, distilleries, restaurants and breweries in the Vancouver Island Region.

For this weeks edition of keeping it wrong we will look at a website with a similar purpose to the one I am creating, Wine Islands. The website is a proxy for Destination British Columbia and Tourism Vancouver Island that acts as a sort of database for wine and culinary options on Vancouver Island. The website is split into three main categories - wine, food, and accommodations - that are group by their region on the island. Regions include a map which shows were attractions are as well as contact info, very similar to my website.

Wine Island actually served as one of three main website that were the inspiration for my own. I hope to build on their format, polish the layout, and make it a more friendly relate-able experience. The number of options will be trimmed down to the very best - my personal favourites - and will include anecdotes and insider tips for visitors to the select locations. Stay tuned, it will be coming live in the next couple of weeks.
