Elevate your burger game with this Slow Food-inspired gourmet burger. Made with high-quality ingredients and a homemade aioli, it's a delicious and satisfying treat for any food lover.
Ingredients: 1 lb grass-fed beef. 4 brioche buns. 4 slices of aged cheddar cheese. 1 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 heirloom tomato, sliced. 4 leaves of butter lettuce. 1/4 cup homemade aioli. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the grill up to a medium-high level. Cut the beef into 4 equal pieces and shape them into burger patties. Add pepper and salt. For medium-rare, grill the patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. In the last minute of cooking, cover each patty with a piece of cheddar cheese and place it on top. This will melt the cheese. Put the brioche buns on the grill and toast them for one to two minutes, until they get a little brown. Cover the bottom bun with aioli and top it with a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Add the other half of the bun on top, and if you need to, use a toothpick to hold it in place. As a side dish, serve your Slow Food Gourmet Burgers with your favorite foods.
