Guess the dominant grape of Chateau Haut-Beausejour Saint Estephe 2014? It's an exceptional value for $22 considering the '15s are selling for $10 more or higher! ~ ~ ~ The nose is fragrant with notes of black cherry, cedar, tobacco, black tea, charred wood, earth, and graphite. I taste black cherry, black currant, and black tea. The tannins are surprisingly smooth considering how young the wine is. I tried it with steak and that was a lovely pairing.
