My design for a wine bottle, no etiquettes, paint directly on the glass.
"Wine Rituals" series, sculptural concept:
My intention is to create an object that blurs the boundaries between a consumer product, art and an object of spiritual significance.
I take a bottle of red wine and encase it in layers of raw clay, paint and applied objects. Usually, there are two or three layers which contain materials like plants, spices, moss, computer chips, soil, paper, gold, pigments, fabric and other materials. Each clay layer is also covered with scratched out graphics and idiosyncratic glyphs. The naturally dried clay gives the object a textual and crusty exterior. The outer surface is covered with a protective layer of varnish.

I recently started “Winewrks” series, mixed media and objects in clay on an unopened wine bottle ( Vino Noble di Montepulciano 2015)
A bottle of wine is covered with clay and paint layers with applied objects in between to become something else.
