A completely random idea.
MC is Aether/Lumine's sibling… but neither they, nor Teyvat, treat MC kindly. (But it takes place in a SDRGAU. And it's a yandere au.) BUT! What if we add MC wings!? They appeared the moment Teyvat connected with Earth. This happened because she had already died twice (she came back to life on Earth, but that's beside the point). Both worlds (not the gods, but the very essence of the worlds) looked at this and were like: well, she's not human, not anymore, and not some famous/existing race… let's make her an angel then. One problem: the wings literally burst out from behind the girl's back, it was bloody, very bloody. Her family (real life) was very scared, MC lost so much blood that her survival is nothing short of a miracle… At the time the people from Teyvat found her, her wings were still very small. She hid them under baggy clothes (slightly shorter than MC's arm span). She can't fly with them yet; her limbs are so weak that even a slightly stronger hug hurts her wings. Only her family knew about her wings, and then Taivat arrived, so it's easy to hide the fact that her daughter has small wings. MC also actively hid her wings. They're very thin; even just trying to lift them was painful; she's not ready for them… But the wings are getting stronger. In theory, in a year they'll be big and strong enough to cushion a fall/landing from the height of a one-story building. However, she won't be able to fly for the next five years, at the very least because only then will her wings be big enough for flight, and also because humans haven't flown before, and she's nowhere to find a teacher. Oh, and finally, her bones have become hollow (like birds', to lighten her weight). I can imagine MC being terrified of meeting the Taivat inhabitants; they're huge! (She also has a trauma from a past life, but that's not what I'm talking about.) They might also simply misjudge the force when shaking her hand and break something (they might recognize her). She's even very cautious with the Earthlings, and her family is cautious too, but they tell everyone else that MC has developed "glass disease" (a real condition where a person's bones are so fragile that any carelessness leads to a fracture).
Well, I generally adore the concept of winged people, but I don't like it when they're given to someone for nothing. As a result, along with those beautiful wings come brittle bones, general weakness, and fragile wings for the next decade (the fact that she can start learning to fly in five years doesn't mean her wings are fully developed; they won't grow as rapidly, but the growth won't be complete until ten years later).
The metaphor of an Earthling bird in a cage is becoming increasingly realistic…
Ooohhh! I like this idea! 🤩
MC becoming a Angel and gaining wings makes perfect sense, but jeez, she really can't catch a break...
Because what can make this whole situation worse is her yanderes capturing her, and... clipping her new, pretty wings. They don't want her flying away, after all...
