Samuel covered his stomach, slightly frowning as he tried to hide the fact he had skipped breakfast yet again. His stomach was grumbling, it was another ‘human thing’ he disliked and wished he didn’t have. Hearing the male beside him speak, Samuel slowly turned to look his way, faintly nodding since lying wasn’t in his nature. “Buns?” he replied softly, slightly confused wondering why the taller male would help a stranger out. He watched the male’s hand, surprised the other was shaking and took the bun cheeks flushing embarrassed. “Thank you for being so kind” he uttered taking a small bite from the bun. “You just saved me a lot of embarrassment—my shift’s in the library, it would have been very obvious” he laughed nervously, thanking the heavens he wasn’t going to end up in another embarrassing situation. “I’m Samuel” he mumbled then took another bite , cheeks puffing up as he chewed and then turned to look at the other.
➣ joohyuk:
"It's okay," Joohyuk says in a quiet, yet low voice; side eyeing the small man in the least suspicious way possible. It was more so a shy side eye, where his hands were loudly fiddling over the plastic bag and timidly shifting in his seat. He wonders when his bus is going to come, and he mildly ponders whether Samuel's bus is going to come too--also it hits him, the fact that he hadn't reciprocated his name. "J-Joohyuk." He says shortly and very quickly after an awkwardly long, long, long silence; unintentionally very one wordy. He just stares at the boy and how he eats with big eyes, curiously eyeing how such a person could seem like a seraph in a way, subconsciously nodding a few times at Samuel's gentle words. He works at a library, Joohyuk notes in his head, staring at his stretched hands placed at his knees, the blunt nails gnawing at his jeans as his hands are quickly growing clammy. "D--do you like.. reading?" Joohyuk asks, in favour of keeping the conversation going-- which, he immediately regrets because duh, what kind of librarian works at a library and doesn't like books? "Nevermind." He says quietly, bowing his head a little further down before he hears the announcement of his bus arriving. He scrambles to his feet, half of him wanting to stay, and the other half just inwardly begging to get him out of his awkward social skills.
