the night circus is amazing for fantasy, gone girl if you like thrillers, eleanor&park is a cute but touching YA romance, serena for some cool historical fiction, and ernest hemingway’s collection of short stories  called “in our time” is fantastic.

i looooooved the night circus and eleanor & park! i've heard a lot of good things about gone girl and serena (they're both movies i believe?) and i read a lot about hemmingway but not a lot of his actual stuff which is weird. i will give your recs a look!

What kind of stories do you like the most?

if you're familiar with the secret history by donna tartt that's the kind of book i've been into recently; that pretentious atmospheric kind of book because i've had a lot of bad experiences with contemporary adult books (so i mainly stick to really good ya or old books)

in terms of other books i have a huge spot in my heart for catcher in the rye and lady-centric ya books are my fave

Oh man yeah, your show is the day after mine. Haha, I bought my mom a ticket so she could go with me but now I am in so much debt my gosh. Yeah, I noticed all of their rules and information were very vague about everything, which drives me batty.

Renee dear, I love you! Also-I got my tickets to Stars on Ice! Turns out, my date is on Mother's Day but I didn't know until after we bought them. Oops. I couldn't get M&G tickets though, because my name wouldn't be on the ticket and we weren't sure if I could actually get access to the ticket without it being my name on the ticket because their rules are kinda unclear and nobody emailed me back about it so I gave up.

I literally just started watching it last night and it is so good.

IT IS SO GOOD. I started watching it...Saturday night I think?  I stayed up until 4 AM finishing series one. Then I watched the two episodes of series two available and realized, oh shit, now I'll have to wait a week between episodes this is gonna hurt.

And yeah. It hurts.

I totally agree with your opinion about Hanyu. I watch his programs and his technique is near flawless but it's kind of boring otherwise. I absolutely love Jason Brown because he may not be the best, and he knows it, but he is just so entertaining to watch. Haha thank you for showing me that I am not alone. :)

YES THANK YOU I'm more interested in entertaining performances than perfect technique, which is why I don't love the two skaters that are one and two right now.  Alas!
