Once you get this, you have to say five things you like about yourself, publicly. Then you have to send this to ten of your favourite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool~) 🌈🌈
I’m lowkey terrible at these bc perpetual self-criticism is too much of my default, so in here are a couple of things that I tend to criticize myself for but which I am trying very hard to see as more positive as often as possible:
1. my emotional sensitivity, which, yes, sometimes makes me fragile and vulnerable and tearful, is an asset in that I love those I’m close to (including Tumblr friends, no matter how far you are! <3 also my precious pup!) and the things I adore so genuinely and wholly, and that’s warm and sustaining and ever-present and very true, and I’m learning to value it.
2. I don’t write a lot any more, but I do think I’m a decent writer and that especially comes across if I’m discussing something about which I’m very passionate!
3. speaking of passion - I believe in it and cling to it so much because it’s definitely helped me to survive, and as much as we all joke about being trash for our faves and overly invested in fictional characters, embracing and enjoying how completely passionate and insightful and enraptured I am with my favorite stories and characters is also a constant.
4. I have a really good musical ear and learn music very quickly, which I express every day even if I’m not singing for anyone but myself, and being so deeply attached to music is a comfort and a gift.
5. my eyes are really pretty and unique, and my mom always says she prayed for me to have them (she wanted a little girl with blue eyes and brown hair; the last time I recounted this to a friend, Melissa said it was like she did a Snow-White’s-mother blessing for me, and I’d somehow never thought of it that way before, but it’s such a sweet comparison).
