Found cringy old characters from books I tried writing when I was younger and decided to redraw them, starting with the main protagonist from Wingfall :3

Wingfall and maybe the tragedy isn't that you entrapped a beautiful bird,

but that you, a bird itself, secretly escaped your own cage first,

to love another bird, possessively... the only way you knew how,

but once found to be free, had to return to your confinement - the same place it all began.
