I like the idea of Kagome having a crush on someone and using ventriloquism to make Aru-chan say "My friend Kagome-chan was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with her?" because she's too nervous to ask them directly...
... but I also like the idea that since Aru-chan becomes sapient when Kagome transforms, she could totally just put Kagome on blast by going "Hey! Guess what! Kagome-chan thinks you're cute!" out of her own free will. Betrayed by a talking plushie.
