What if the Sparda/Eva ship was called something like ladybug? I mean lots of people have him call her milady, and bug is obvious

Dude. Something like this would be awesome. Funny, yet somehow graceful. The red-black-color scheme of the “common” ladybugs would even work with Eva’s red scarf and Sparda’s “Dark Knight” title, no?

I’m calling them ladybug now. Sparva just doesn’t have a ring to it. (It sounds like larva. Which is also something like a bug, but... nah. Nah. XD)

I’m drawing my hat before this great idea =D

Do YOU have and Dante/Lady headcanons to share? :3

uhh i think i got a couple lying around in here wings, lemme just try to find em real quick haha

lady would be the first one to gain feelings for dante, and then subsequently hide them from him until he eventually reciprocates. when he does she’s like “dante i’ve loved you for years at this point″ and he just yells “WHAT”

the 2 would be very hands on with one-another. not even in a sexual sense, they’d just lie on top of one another and rest on each other incredibly often

since dante is so big compared to lady (6′5 vs 5′7 lol) she often takes his clothing, specifically his coat and his shirt. every time he sees her wearing his clothes and sees how absolutely big they are on her he just stops functioning

dante casually just drops lines like “i love you” and “you’re the light of my life” into intermediate conversation with lady, and it always flusters her

lady is absolutely fucking enamored and entranced by dante’s cold, icy blue eyes. when having conversation with him she sometimes just loses herself in them. when she pulls herself back out dante comments on it and she gets embarrassed

in that same vein, dante is obsessed with lady’s heterochromia and her bi colored eyes. sometimes they just stareat one another transfixed like “how are you this beautiful” y’know?

eventually lady asks about what dantes early life was like, and through him she learns more about vergil and sparda and why dante was who he was. this then leads to her comforting dante about this

dante does the same thing for lady, and eventually she tells him about what kalina ann was like as a mother and all that

they realize that really no one else understands themselves like the other do. no one knows dante like lady, and vice versa. that becomes the largest reason why they love one another. even if the world sees them as outcast demon hunters or whatever else, they see the best in one another and love that wholly

that’s about all i got chief. thanks for the ask! it was comfy to answer this, and a couple of these were really cute to write about (specifically the oversized clothing one and lady being entranced by dante’s eyes)

Probably? Highly likely!

Nightmare apparently really doesn’t think, so he (they?) have an excuse.

Griffon is too busy nagging, complaining and being a snarky lil’ shit.

And V is... well we know who and how V is.

Nope, Shadow is the most sane one in that rag-tag group, and that annoyed expression is a daily occurence.

(I still headcanon she basically gobbles Griffon up when she gets too annoyed with him. NOM gone is the birb.)

If Sparda was banished from the naming process, what were his ideas then?

He basically banned himself, to be honest. As much as he was interested in helping naming his children, he was fully aware that the only names he was familiar with were either names of demons, or human names that were long since outdated, and he was more worried over how those would not be good enough. (He really wanted to do this right, for Eva and the children both, he even thought the names were inredibly important.)

He did agree with Eva’s idea of Dante and Vergil, though! The Divine Comedy and how wrong / right it was in terms of how Hell worked was like an inside joke between the pair, and he connects that with good memories of laughing with Eva.

I honestly can't remember the name, but honestly one of my favorite art styles is the person that did art for games like The Last Story, so maybe them for that art style challenge?

Trust me, your list of fic to write will never get shorter. You finish one and at least 10 more pop up. You will never be free.

That’s what I was afraid of. Recent example: Write “Redemption”, think “Okay got that out of my system!” and next thing I know, I have... three? Three new ideas stemming from that one.

... Uh, help? XD

(At least I’m in good company, yours is not any shorter either than before, right?)

What do you think of Trish?

i like her! she’s not a huge standout character i love like dante or lady or whatever else, but she’s cool for what she is. ive always loved how consistent her designs are, at least in contrast to how radical dante and lady and nero and such are

she’s always the cool biker girl with long blonde hair and black leather pants and sick lighting powers, and that’s rad

plus i do like the character representation of her using sparda and also looking like eva. almost like the courage and kindness of sparda and eva live on through not just dante and nero, but also through her. both sparda and eva in a sense live through her, and that’s cool. i love the casual friendship her and dante have. like she just crashes and lives at his shop and he’s cool with that

i think her character isnt as standout as she could be due to 1 being not especially amazing in the story department. it’s fine, it works, but it’s not a plot like dmc3 for example. i hope 5 gives character and context for her like it seems to be doing for dante and nero
