Block Party Prompt:
1. Who is your character’s favorite Alpha? (If they are in a pack, they can’t choose their Alpha. They must choose someone else. But if your character is an Alpha themselves, have them choose someone they would let lead their pack.)
Well Marina’s favorite Alpha is most definitely not Armand Mantilla. He still gives her the heebie jeebies, even if her mate is heavily involved with him. So she would have to go with Elizabeth Morgan. The Venia Alpha is someone Marina looks up to and respects, and would love to have the opportunity to sit down and talk with. She feels like Elizabeth would be a great person to get some knowledge from, or even advice if she needed it.
2. What does Winlock represent for your character? How important is the town to them?
Winlock, for Marina, represents everything she lost when her parents died. It represents home, family, pack, stability. With stability being one of the most important things in that list. Though she loves Victoria and Freddie with all her heart, with their little pack there was never much stability. Things were always changing. They went from town to town, hotel room to hotel room. They never settled anywhere. And Marina thought for a long time there her restlessness was just because she was always wanting to go somewhere else, to find something new. But now being in Winlock, she’s come to realize that what she was looking for was a home. And Winlock is incredibly important to her now. It’s why she joined a pack, why she’s trying to be as involved with the town as she can possibly be. She wants this to become not only a home for her, but a home for Victoria and Freddie as well. She loves this place, and wants what is best for it and the people in it.
3. If they had to become an Alpha of one pack, which pack would your character pick? (If they’re already an Alpha, would they ever choose to lead a different pack if they could?)
She’d probably never ever ever ever ever choose to become an Alpha. Ever. But if she did, I feel like Marina would choose the Lenios. Because most of them she already loves to death. They welcomed her with open arms, and they became a new extension of her family. She doesn’t think she would ever be a good leader, but if she had to be one she would want to lead the people she loves most.
4. How does your character feel about pack hierarchy? Do they respect the way things are done? Follow it blindly? Or are there some changes that your character would like to see made?
Marina respects pack hierarchy when it is done correctly, and not used as a tool to abuse and belittle werewolves who are in a lower rank. She has seen so many Alphas torment their packs, especially Omegas. The fact that there are so many Alphas out there who believe that they can own their pack members and treat them like slaves and warriors and breeders instead of family is absolutely disgusting to her. And in that aspect, she definitely hates pack hierarchy. It can so easily become something terrible and horrible. But as far as Winlock goes, she hasn’t seen so much of that cruelty and abuse. The Alphas here are good to their respective packs, and for that she’s very grateful. It’s one of the reasons she was able to join a pack in the first place. Because she knows damn well that Kai would never treat her as anything less than a person. There are some things she’d change, like the way some packs treat their Omegas and the way they treat other packs. But for the most part, packs in Winlock are what a pack is supposed to be.
5. How does your character feel about parties? Are they are party animal? Or a wallflower?
Marina is such a party animal holy crap. She loves parties and having fun. Letting loose, dancing the night away, and getting drunk of her ass is probably what she loves most in life. She’s no stranger to having a quiet night at home, and she does enjoy that from time to time. But she’d much rather be surrounded by people she loves (or at least likes), dancing to dumb songs and smiling until her face hurts.
6. With all the craziness that has happened on the Full Moon, plus all the deaths and Leona Harvard’s capture, is your character grateful for a chance to relax? Or are they worried that something terrible will happen at the block party just like it did on the Full Moon?
She’s a little worried, but she’s trying her best not to let it overwhelm her. Marina’s looking forward to having fun, seeing Katya, and enjoying more of the fun that Winlock has to offer. (Plus that Water Balloon Toss is calling her name, so she’s really excited.)
