Vulcan Iron Works -1874
Vulcan Iron and Engineering works, the largest of Winnipeg’s foundries, occupied several city blocks along the Canadian Pacific main line in Point
1919 – Steel workers at the Vulcan Iron Works on Maple Street North join employees at the city’s other large metal companies in a strike. Soon after, the rest of the city’s unionized workforce walk off the job in sympathy with the metal workers.
