Supergirl: A Winn & Kara Story 💞 (Part One)
Winn takes a breath, his hands slightly tense as he looks at Kara.
Winn: “Kara… I’m in love with you.”
Kara freezes. She wasn’t expecting that. Her expression softens, but she looks unsure.
Kara: “Winn… I’m not sure how I feel about this right now. Can you… give me some time to think about it?”
Winn nods quickly, forcing a small smile.
Winn: “Yeah. Of course. I totally understand.”
The moment lingers between them, heavy but unspoken, before they go their separate ways.
Later That Day – A Bank Robbery
Supergirl arrives at a bank robbery in progress.
Kara (as Supergirl): “You’re not getting away with this!”
The robber smirks.
Robber: “Oh really? We’ll see about that.”
Suddenly, a device activates—Kryptonite-based tech. A cage snaps shut around her.
Kara gasps, weakened.
Kara: “Aw man… Alex, I’m stuck. It’s some kind of super-proof cage!”
Alex (comms): “Hang on, Kara—we’re on our way!”
The robber grabs the money and escapes.
Before backup arrives, a mysterious figure appears. He works quickly—disabling the cage’s mechanism and freeing her.
The moment the cage unlocks, the figure is already moving away.
Kara: “Hey—wait! Thank you! Who are you?”
But he disappears before she can get a clear look.
DEO Headquarters
John (J’onn): “You escaped without assistance?”
Kara: “Someone freed me… but he ran before I could see his face.”
Alex exchanges a glance, curious but cautious.
CatCo – Later That Day
Kara walks in, still thinking about the mysterious savior. She notices Winn at his desk, surrounded by his usual tech and collectibles.
She walks over.
Kara: “Hi, Winn.”
Winn looks up, instantly softening.
Winn: “Hey, Kara. Just working… as always.”
He gives a small wink.
Kara can’t help but smile a little.
Kara: “You’re silly as ever.”
Winn: “And Miss Grant is probably about to summon you again.”
Cat Grant’s Office
Cat: “Kara, there’s a new hero in the city. I want an interview. Find him.”
Kara: “I’ll do my best, Miss Grant.”
As she leaves, her thoughts drift back to the masked figure who saved her.
News Update
Breaking news: a mysterious vigilante has captured the bank robber responsible for yesterday’s attack.
Kara watches the screen, intrigued.
Kara’s Apartment
Kara sits with Alex.
Alex: “So who do you think he is?”
Kara: “I don’t know… there are so many people in this world. Cat wants me to interview him, but I don’t even know where to start.”
Alex: “You’ll figure it out. You always do.”
Suddenly—
Kara: “Oh—time to go!”
She flies out.
Another Emergency
Another robbery breaks out. Kara arrives, ready—but suddenly a second attacker activates Kryptonite tech again.
She weakens.
Kara: “Why are you doing this?”
Robber: “Because you’re always in the way. Now you’re done!”
He lunges—
—but is suddenly knocked unconscious.
The Kryptonite device shuts down.
The same mysterious hero stands there.
Kara: “You… again.”
She steadies herself.
Kara: “Who are you?”
He hesitates for just a second… then straightens.
Blue Signal: “My name is Blue Signal. I’m here to help.”
Kara studies him.
Kara: “Blue Signal…”
They work together to finish securing the scene.
Afterward, she steps aside with him.
Interview Moment
Kara: “So… do you need powers?”
Blue Signal: “Nah. You don’t need powers to fight crime. Just training, skills… and the will to help people.”
Kara watches him carefully.
Kara: “And why did you save Supergirl?”
He pauses—just long enough for a faint blush to show.
Blue Signal: “Because I care… a lot… about this world.”
Kara notices the hesitation. Something about him feels familiar.
She smiles slightly.
Kara: “I think that’s all I need. Thank you.”
As he turns to leave, Kara thinks to herself:
I feel like I know him… but I can’t place it.
CatCo – Later
Cat: “Good. We have a name: Blue Signal. Now find out everything else.”
Kara: “Yes, Miss Grant.”
Meanwhile… CatCo Floor
Winn is at his desk… unusually quiet. His eyes are heavy, like he didn’t sleep.
James notices.
James: “Hey Winn, you okay?”
Winn jolts slightly.
Winn: “Yeah—yeah, I’m fine. Just didn’t sleep much.”
He forces a smile and goes back to work.
Kara glances over, confused.
He’s been acting weird lately…
And somewhere in her mind, Blue Signal’s voice lingers.
