I have written my packlist. I have started packing. That being said; I’m bringing about 20 dolls Yo-size and up (most of them between 40-50cm), and all my teeny tinies. Maybe I can finally give Leileni and Lilyth the attention they deserve. I haven’t even visited my bedsit, but I have checked out pictures, I know the size, and given the limited amount of other stuff I’m bringing (basically my sewing machine, some fabric, my computers and (some of my) gaming consoles, in addition to my cosplays and necessities of course) I should have space enough for it. Thank god I mostly don’t collect SDs...
If there isn’t room, I will make room. These dolls are the ones I absolutely most certainly won’t leave behind (I’d like to bring even more, but I’m trying not to push it), so they will fit. A few can live in my bed anyway. I won’t have the chance to go home on holiday that often (I’m taking a weekend home in September for Metrocon, and I’ll be home for Christmas. That’s all I know for now), so the favorites have to come with xD
I love the other inmates' dialogues around Suzanne's wacky erotica, because it's just so real. It's exactly how I talk to friends about smutty manga, books and games (and how they talk back to me, when we find something we've both watched/read/played). "How x reacted to y might symbolize z", "I love how f can be a metaphor for g" and so on. All the while I sit there thinking that there's probably not a deeper meaning, it's probably just done that way because the writers felt like it, and there's a good chance they didn't think about how the audience would over analyze it, but hey. It's more fun when you get deep about erotic shit anyway. You also have the classic "is that even possible?", but that one has nothing to do with over analyzing and more with FUCKING ANATOMY MAN.
My grandfather just thrash talked Conchita on my Facebook wall. I've been this close to removing you from my friend list for quite a while old man... Consider your next move wisely.
I put my own anti-frizz and defining hair cream (for curly hair, but eh) in Lynette’s hair. Not only does the bangs now finally lie flat against her forehead, but the wig now also has no flyaways whatsoever (and her wig may have been the most flyaway-y thing I ever owned) and smells wonderfully of coconut.
Granted, it took longer to dry on the synthetic fibers than on my natural hair, but that’s no matter considering how well it worked. Maybe I should give more of my doll wigs this treatment, hmmm.....
I’ve spent the whole day trying to install Lamento in Windows 7 with no luck (it might have worked had I the 32-bit version, but I was an idiot and got the 64-bit one back in tha day), but I found out an acquaintance of mine has the disc version of Vista, and he’s agreed to lend it to me, so I’ll install that in addition to Win 7. It’s terrible, because all the other games (N+C ones among them) which I have that are only supposed to work in Vista and older runs fine in Windows 7. Lamento’s the only one giving me trouble.
Instead I’ve gotten started on Hanachirasu (I’ve had it lying around since the American release, but didn’t get to install it before now). I’m not far in, but I have to say the character designs are pleasing. Male protagonist who’s shorter than me and voiced by a female seiyuu? I can get behind that. Also, the women aren’t the classical unrealistically thin anime characters, and their boobs are relatively normal in size and abide by the laws of gravity, so hey. Good job N+.
I'm installing a virtual computer in a program on my virtual computer in a program on my computer. Oh well... I guess this is what you call inception.
There’s this one episode of X-files, which I don’t remember the name of, and there are some characters that are supposed to speak Norwegian (I’m assuming they were Americans given a script and just told “read this”, but anyway), and when you watch the episode on American Netflix with subtitles for the hard of hearing, it’s not subtitled. You just get the classic sound effect brackets and the text between them reads “speaks Norwegian”.
And I’m just sitting there like... no, they do not. Most Norwegians won’t be able to understand that even if they try. That’s not Norwegian. It’s gibberish xD
