My MVP
We got tickets to the Winston-Salem Dash game Friday night through my work. We had really good seats--third row on the first base line. Josh had never been to a baseball game before, and of course this was Griffin’s first game.
The game got off to a slow start, and it was extremely hot and humid outside. Once the sun went down, it felt a lot better out. Griffin was having the time of his life “talking” to my coworkers and their children.
The game picked up in the sixth inning, when the Dash scored five runs. Then it started getting kind of exciting for Josh, and he later admitted that he had a pretty good time. Griffin got a little tired around this time and took a quick power nap. After he woke up from his nap, he was a little fussy with the cheers from the crowd, but after a little bit, he was back to himself. The Dash ended up winning, which was good.
Griffin even got up on the “big screen” as one of the three contenders for “fan of the game.
They did fireworks after the game. I was worried about how Griffin would handle it, especially since Amelie cried over fireworks until she was like six, but he loved them. He was completely enthralled. He even got upset with me for trying to hold his ears. He wasn’t bothered at all!
