Born in the Sixth Winter of The Sanctuary Pack

Parents: Finch, Hayseed

Littermates: Farrier

Personality: Holiday is somewhat reserved and hard to read. She thinks- and feels- deeply, but either struggles to express herself or chooses not to.

Her siblings Maize and Farrier, however, find it easy to tell what Holiday is thinking. The three are quite close.

Naming Conventions: Human surnames. Finch- himself named after a famous human- has spent most of his life with a vicious, bitter hatred towards humankind, and changed his own name to avoid this legacy.

However, by the time of his final litter, Finch has come to accept his past- if not to forgive the humans who hurt him- and when offered the chance to name his and Hayseed's pup, he chose to name her in the way he himself was named, passing on the tradition.

Born in the Sixth Winter of The Sanctuary Pack

Parents: Finch, Hayseed

Littermates: Holiday

Personality: Inspired by his father, Finch's, pacifism (and frightened by his early puphood on the run from human hunters), Farrier becomes fairly fight-shy, and turns into a staunch pacifist.

This desire for peace is motivated by a mix of curiosity, desire for peace, and fear of the overwhelming force & power of humans.

Naming Conventions: Farming-related, Second generation

Sanctuary Pack Wolves: Slough Creek

Born in the Sixth Winter of The Sanctuary Pack

Parents: Hoot, Hat Trick

Personality: Taking after Hoot, Creek is a headstrong and independent wolf. He often rankles at the traditions of the pack, and wants to live under his will alone-- wild and free, like the stories Hoot tells of her own puphood.

Naming Conventions: Two-part names, research projects. First generation.

Creek was named after the Slough Creek pack in Yellowstone. His mother, Hat Trick, was part of a research project, and was named by the humans who raised her.

(\Hat Trick was not herself named after research or conservation efforts-- she was named for a term in hockey, but has no idea what that is or means.)
