I can’t seem to get into sambucky as much as I want to. Like the idea of it really warms my heart but I can’t read fic with just the two of them, especially if Steve is in it. I just feel bad for Steve and Stucky will always be #1 in my heart. I like Sam/Bucky/Steve tho. I just can’t seem to find good fics that are not solely smut. If anyone can recommend good Sam/Bucky/Steve fics with plenty of fluff, that would be great!!

But this is how Sam would look, if near the end of his second tour, Riley had been shot down by a ghost on a night like any other. 

If Hydra wanted to develop an asset from Project Falcon and wasn't subtle about collecting as many as they could for re-education and a series of very complicated, very invasive surgeries.

Where Sam meets Hydra before he meets Steve. 

Where, late at night in his cramped, too sterile cell, he can close his eyes and watch Riley fall, burning out of the sky on repeat, or he can keep his eyes open and watch the thing that killed Riley - the thing they're trying so hard to turn him into.

Things that I want

I want fics where Sam meets Bucky before he met Steve.

I want the fics where Sam meets Bucky years before, but specifically the fic where he meets him at the end of his second tour. When, for reasons the Air Force can't figure out, members of the EXO-7 Falcon project keep getting shot down on what should be routine missions. Where, the EXO-7 packs have always been recovered, but sometimes the corpses are so mangled that without their half-melted dog tags, the bodies would never have been identified.

Where, Sam and Riley are aware that their buddies in other squadrons are dropping like flies ('naw, Riley, not the time for your puns'), but it looks more like the enemy combatants have gotten better access to RPGs than anything suspicious ("I swear, Riley I will beat your ass if you say 'fowl' play"). Joking aside, Sam writes some letters for his mom and his sisters and his goddaughter Abbie, just with things he's been meaning to say.   

And where on one night mission, standard PJ rescue op - full moon, great visibility, nearly to target, flying over the ruins of an evacuated village - an explosion tears Riley out of the sky. There's a part of Sam that has to watch as Riley tumbles, burning, head over wing over foot over wing, but there's a part of him that can't look. And tearing his eyes away, he sees the man holding the RPG, dressed all in black with moonlight glinting off something metal.  

As Riley hits the ground in a ball of fire, Sam ignores his training, checks the weight of the guns in his holster, and dives to get the man in weapon-range. The figure blurs through village, over a car, behind a building, and Sam levels out and pulls out his Steyr SPPs.

Which he thinks is maybe when the EMP went off, the EXO-suit failed, and he crashed, because the next thing he knows he's strapped down to a table in a too-sterile white room.

I want the fic where the Winter Soldier killed Riley, Hydra is collecting Project Falcon members for a project of their own, and Sam has to spend every day of captivity looking at the man who killed his best friend.
