LETTER TO SANSA | @winterslqdy 

My Lady,

Ravens have been sent out with invitations to my coronation in King’s Landing but out of all the ones that have been delivered, I only wanted to make personal and is what I hope to have achieved with this letter. I would normally come to Winterfell myself in the past rather than send a raven but I am afraid that most of my duties for the coronation is keeping me in King’s Landing. I know of your history with King’s Landing and so I will understand if you do not make it but it is that history why I would have wanted to accompany you on the trip but my duties will not allow it as I am currently writing this from a solar in King’s Landing. 

The coronation is a celebration and I see it as a way for me to look forward and into my future and that of the Vale’s future. It will grow. With the idea of planning my future and the Vale’s future, I hope to have you by my side during the coronation. You were my Queen of Love and Beauty and so I would hope you would be with me as I am crowned. 

There is no obligation for you to do this but it would make me even more happy on a day that I hope to remember for the rest of my life that could only be made better with you at my side.

😡 for an angsty starter

“No, you don’t want to hear about it. It’s hardly a happy story, and it’s filled with things you’ll hate to hear about.” If it was the other way around, Arya would want to know, too. She understood Sansa’s feelings for once, it simply wasn’t that easy. The younger Stark sighed. Her sister appeared to be settled on it; she wished to know, so perhaps Arya could tell her a little. It didn’t have to be everything. “Syrio protected me, in King’s Landing. That’s why I could run. Then I lived in the streets for a while. I was there too, when… when they killed father.” She had been shielded of seeing it, but it didn’t matter. Arya had heard the beheading, heard the people, heard Sansa screaming. The nightmares presented very creative images to fill the place of what she hadn’t seen. “There were so many people, and I couldn’t get closer– not that it would have made a difference, but not trying to do anything… I just had to try something.“

“And more equally horrible things happened after that, and I, well, I did awful things too. Don’t ask me to tell about it. As it is, I’m already far from the sister you wished to have. If I told you everything, you’d hate me, Sansa.”

@winterslqdy It was scarcely the break of dawn when Margaery had arrived at the chambers offered to Sansa with bells on. The Queen had spirited in with her colorful retinue, and with a bright smile and a loud laugh she had awoken the Stark Princess, urging her to dress quickly--promising they would eat in the wheelhouse. The journey to Oldtown was not so long, but Margaery had wanted to spend the day introducing Sansa to the city, rather than traveling. She had ushered her to the wheelhouse before the girl had finished so much as combing out her auburn tresses, and bade her handmaidens Mira and Sera to fuss with the Princess’ hair whilst the horses began to pull the carriage steadily down the roseroad.  All the while, the queen chatted animatedly about her matrilineal roots in Oldtown, and regaled Sansa with stories of the First Kings and their great beautiful stone city. She educated her on her mother’s ancestors in House Hightower, who had a keep taller than even the Wall, and talked at length about the impressive nature of the Citadel and the Starry Sept. Margaery made an admirable effort to not address her brother, for fear of convincing Sansa the outing was a veiled attempt at pushing forth the issue of marriage. Truthfully, the queen had only wanted to show Sansa the Reach--and if she should be taken by the image of one day having dominion over that land as its Lady, so be it. As they reached the city gates, Margaery looked on at Sansa, and with a simper apologized for having such a busy tongue. “You’ll note the smell is kinder than that of King’s Landing,” Margaery commented with a smirk as the wheelhouse came to a halt. “What would you like to see first? I’ve a mind to show you everything, but now that I’ve given you some idea of what is here...the Citadel, or the Starry Sept? The Hightower? We could go and see the children, too, though I would need to go and prepare gifts and treats to give them first. I dislike seeing them empty-handed.”
