Bucky couldn't speak, someone had managed to say two of the trigger words by accident and he was back to not trusting his own mind. Finding Wanda, he walked up to her, gave her a pleading look and took her hands and placed them on his head. The silent cue that he needed her help settling his mind.

Wanda looks at him, and her eyebrows furrowed. She knew what that meant and she just closed her eyes, holding his head. She started to project beautiful images inside his head in order to replace the traumatic events.

“Shh, its okay, James.. It’s okay..”

Bucky couldn’t help but roll his eyes when he noticed Tonys reactor lighting up the room. “Show off…” He muttered and continued looking for something else to light up the room.

“Does it ever turn off? How do you sleep with that in your face?” He asked curiously as he pulled entire drawers out to search.

“Does-Does it ever turn off?” Tony jerked back and turned to look at Barnes with a shocked expression, “This fancy little gadget is keeping me alive buckaroo...it can’t ever be turned off” it did once, an EMP blast so powerful he was lucky to have a backup. ever since then he has so many fail-safes installed. 

He shook his head and snorted, “It’s a night light, you get used to it” a small smile  played on his lips as he resumed his search for candles.

        IT feels like it’s been...centuries. Hundreds of years since the last time they stood so close together. Logically he knows that that’s far from the truth, it’s been a few months at most, maybe even less than that. Yet the breathless sense of relief that eclipses everything is overwhelming, and the weakness in his legs is visible as he stumbles forward. He’s okay. He’s okay, and he remembers me. When his hands settle on the other man’s face, pulling him into a kiss- there’s desperation there. A hunger to know that everything was as it should be, to feel that sense of familiarity he thought he’d never have in this new world. Most importantly it was the kind of kiss that wanted so strongly to translate into words everything he felt in that moment- relief, joy, love. When he pulled away, his hands remained where they were. Blue eyes scanning his best friend’s face, searching. “I thought I lost you again Buck.”

You dont need Xkit to block tags anymore! You can do it in settings under safe mode and filtered tags. That’s what Im using :)
