Bonus kirin post today! This is a kind of artist resin, just not a horse. He is the Kirin Prince figurine from now-defunct etsy store WinterSoulStudios. I purchased the last one they had a few years ago, and sometime between now and then, the artist stopped selling on etsy.
Anyway, this is a resin cast made from an original sculpture by the artist, and he was meant to be painted by the buyer. Obviously, I haven't painted him yet, as I've been too indecisive about what I want his colors to be. I know I want something metallic and colorful, but beyond that, I'm not sure.
The design for this guy seems to be based on a muntjac, a small deer native to South/Southeast Asia that has distinctive fang-like tusks and elongated antler pedicles. I think it's a neat design choice, as you usually only see these creatures based on dragons, horses, and/or more common species of deer.
