Ominis, Imelda, Sebastian and you were sat in front of the fireplace amidst the infamous yearly slytherin house party, your laughter carrying through the room as Imelda drunkenly danced atop one of the dark-oak tables to the music; She had never been one to shy away from a dare.
"She's stark raving mad, that one." Sebastian chuckled from the chair he was lounged on across from you. Ominis, his wand extended in use of receiving a mental image of the scene playing out shakes his head in response, stifling a laugh.
"Alright, Imelda, you can quit showing us up now." You called out, watching as she bowed to the fellow Slytherin's chanting her on before returning to your little group. "Next time Ominis, give me a difficult dare, will you?" She boasts, plopping back down beside you with a smug look, her words slurring. "My turn!" She exclaims, her eyes slithering from you to Sebastian, the right side of her lips tugging upward. "Sebastian, truth or dare?" She inquires, knowing he also never shies away from a dare.
Your gaze finds itself on him, his elbow propped on the back of the sofa, a smirk already present. His eyebrow raised mischievously, tilting his head ever so slightly. "Dare, obviously."
As if it was the response she had been dying to hear, she let out a quick chortle, gaze turning to you. Your cheeks heated at the look in her eyes, which you knew too well. Having made the mistake of fessing up to wanting Sebastian in ways that were not exactly appropriate the last time you and Imelda drank, she had been plotting on the perfect opportunity to make it happen. With the slight shake of your head, she turned back to the brunet; “Let’s make it fun…” Her eyes gleamed as she pointed between the two of you. “Seven minutes in heaven… together.”
"Wait, but the dare is for him, not for me." You stammer, feeling the heat burning your rosy cheeks. "You don't want seven minutes alone with him now?" She questions, shifting in her seat. "What about when you told me-"
"Fine, where do you want us to go?" You interrupt quickly, swallowing hard as your eyes darted to Sebastian, who was wearing an amused expression. "Broom closet, or our room, if you prefer."
Sebastian's voice catches you off guard. “You sure you can handle that much time with me?”
"Doubtfully." You sigh, trying to calm the nerves engulfing you whole. "Guess you'll find out. Hurry along now!" She teased, shooing the two of you off.
“You heard her. Can’t disappoint the crowd now, can we?” He stands and offers his hand to you, his gaze locking with yours. After a brief hesitation, you slip your hand into his, letting him pull you to your feet. Your heart is beating a mile a minute, trying to ignore the warmth between your connected hands as you approach the broom closet on the far side of the dungeon. Being the gentleman he was, he opened the door for you, gesturing for you to enter.
The door clicks shut behind you, sealing the two of you in dim light and close air. The scent of dust and faint cleaning potions fills the narrow space, but all you can focus on is the sound of his breathing, and the way his chest moved with it. You cross your arms, trying to appear unaffected, avoiding acknowledging the lack of space between the two of you. “Well, this is… cozy.”
Sebastian’s smirk returns, low and knowing. “You’re blushing already, and we haven’t even started, are you nervous, y/n?”
“I’m not nervous.” You definitely are.
He leans back against the wall, crossing his arms in a mirror of yours. “You sure? Because that expression on your face says otherwise.”
In return, you roll your eyes. “You’re imagining things.”
“Mm, maybe. Or maybe you just can’t handle being in here with me for seven minutes.”
You let out a dry laugh. “Oh please. You’re the one filling the silence with your own voice.”
His brows raise. “Are you saying you prefer it quiet?”
“Depends who I’m stuck with.”
That earns a faint grin from him; cocky, teasing, the same look that drives you mad during arguments. But as your eyes meet again, something shifts. The space between you feels charged, heavy with all the things neither of you have ever dared to say out loud. You take a small step closer, meaning to call his bluff, but his smirk falters. For the first time, he looks almost… unsure; this time, his breathing hitches, and you're almost certain he's just as nervous.
Your voice comes out softer than you intend. "You're so confident when we argue, why are you so shy all of the sudden?"
He swallows hard, eyes flicking down to your lips before finding yours again. "Because you're looking at me like that." The air hangs still. His voice is barely above a whisper now, rough around the edges, and for a moment, neither of you dares to move.
"Have you kissed yet?" You both hear Imelda's voice call out, breaking the intense eye contact being shared. “Not yet,” he calls back, amusement lacing his tone. Then he leans in slightly, voice lowering. “Unless you want to change that."
You swallow hard, very much wanting to feel his lips on yours... but you don't have the courage to make the move. You knew that was the only way out of here, Imelda wasn't one to negotiate with. With a deep inhale, your gaze returned to his.
You hold his gaze, heart hammering, but a mischievous smirk creeps onto your lips, feeling sudden boldness from the butterbeer you'd downed not too long ago. “And what if I do want to change that?” You murmur, closing the distance between, daring him.
"Then I think... I think you should do something about that." He murmurs, his voice low, rough, and shaking just a fraction; a side of him you rarely get to see. You take another step, and now there’s barely any space between you. The warmth of his chest presses against yours, one of his hands slithering around your back as the other lifts slowly, fingers brushing against your cheek.
Your breath catches, and his gaze flickers to your lips once again; lingering, daring. You mirror him instinctively, leaning just a little closer. The world outside the closet, the music, the dares, even Imelda’s laughing, all fade away. The very scent of you was intoxicating to him; he wanted to consume you, he had been wanting to consume you.
“Are you sure?” he whispers, voice hoarse. “Because once we—”
"Just kiss me, Sebastian-" you began before his lips were on yours; The kiss is tender at first, testing, hesitant; but there’s an unmistakable desire beneath it. Your hands clench onto the collar of his white button up shirt, pulling him closer, matching his movement with equal intensity. When the kiss deepens, it’s passionate, hungry, full of the tension that’s been building for months; every glance, every argument, every tease leading to this. Your heart races, his pulse thrums against yours, and for a moment, the universe shrinks to just the two of you in that dim, dusty broom closet.
When his hands find placement on your ass, he breaks the kiss to watch your expression, as if asking you if it was okay. Your answer was pulling him by the emerald green tie that hung from his collar, enveloping his lips once more. You let out a small gasp once he picked you up from your ass in a swift motion, backing you against the cold brick wall. He was utterly starving for you.
"You have no idea what you do to me." He confesses, fingers digging into your bare thighs. There was no mistake that he was buldging out of his pants, prominently feeling it against you as your skirt hiked up to your hips. "And what is it that I do to you?" You boldly inquire, already wanting his mouth back on yours.
"Unspeakable things, y/n." He whined, one of his hands moving to your throat, stroking his thumb over it as the rest of his fingers cradled the back of your neck. "Tell me, Sebastian. Speak something unspeakable to me."
As if a dare that he was ready to take on, he leaned closer to your ear. "I've been dying to taste you."
Your cheeks heated, instinctively biting down on your lip as you felt your arousal rising. "What's stopping you?"
His expression goes dark at your permission, quick to put you down on your feet, brown eyes boring into yours as he kneels down before you. "Do you wish to see me on my knees? Is that it, darling?"
Eagerly, you nod, butterflies swirling your stomach as he presses his fingers on your soft skin, planting kisses from your calf to your upper thighs. It was incredibly difficult to hide your shuddering. The sensation of his hands gliding up to your thighs, pushing your small skirt up to find your lacy undergarments heightened both of your excitement.
Your eyes were locked onto one another as his index fingers looped around the hem of your underwear, sliding it down your legs until they fell to the floor. As he continued kissing up your thighs, he pulled your right leg over his shoulder, pressing his thumb against your bundle of nerves. Instantly, he groaned, fighting the urge to indulge himself too early at the feeling of your arousal. "Fuck, you're soaking wet for me."
Quickly, he retrieves his thumb, gazing intensely at you as his thumb slips into his mouth, desperate to taste any bit of you. Without a second thought, his tongue is on your clit, and your head is thrown back. It didn't take long for you to realize he was skilled at this, knowing exactly what to do.
With the way he was eating, you would've thought he was a starved man. As he added a digit within you, you couldn't help but whimper, shutting your eyes tightly as it curled to the right places, his mouth sucking sloppily, devouring you until your legs began to shake, chasing that euphoric feeling building deep within. "Fuck Sebastian-"
He didn't dare reply as he increased the speed, your orgasm approaching swiftly. Curses spewed from your mouth as your hands held his hair, shaking as he kept going even after the intensity ended. You had to pry him away from you; his eyes filled with pure lust, lips swollen and covered in your slick which he happily licked away.
Your hand quickly found his tie, pulling him up to be at eye-level. "Merlin, you taste so good." He cooed, planting his lips on yours. "Was that okay?"
"Are you serious?" You laughed, panting, legs still shaky. "Let's just say I didn't think that was possible."
He smirked at your response, planting kisses on your neck. Still heavily aroused, you held him tight against you, not able to bear it anymore. "Sebastian, I need you."
With this, he moved to meet your eyes, raising an inquisitive eyebrow. "How do you need me, darling?"
The tug on his pants was enough of an answer, which he quickly understood. "You want me to fuck you, hm?"
"Yes, I do."
"How badly?"
"Unspeakably bad, as one might say." You teased, unbuttoning his shirt before moving to plant kisses on his toned chest. Your lipstick was left marked there, as was it smudged along his lips. He paid no mind, just happily drunk off of you. "Atta' girl." He purred, reaching for his trousers. He was more than happy to remove the uncomfortable restraint, moving his boxers down with it. "You see what you do to me?"
Your eyes widened at the size of him, having never taken something that... big. "Are you sure you want this, y/n?" He inquired, catching the flash of worry on your flushed face. "I'm positive. I've never wanting something more."
In a fluid motion, he picked your legs back up, pressing your back against the wall. In the same beat, he lined himself up with your entrance, looking once more for approval. You nodded in return, biting down on your lip as he slowly pressed into you. Your jaw slacked ever so slightly as you took him, eyelids feeling heavy from the pleasure that swarmed your insides. Slowly, he began to thrust, watching you intently.
"Tell me how you like it." He ordered, fingers firmly gripping your ass as he thrusted into you, barely allowing you to respond. "Deep, fast."
As if music to his ears, he mimicked your response physically, beginning to roll his hips further into you, your body practically jolting with each thrust as he hit your sweet spot. At this point, you discover it is nearly impossible to speak as he fucks you better than you'd dreamed of. His lips are on yours, slipping his tongue in your mouth with a moan, murmuring how good you feel.
"You fuck me so good, Sebastian." Your walls clenched around him, baffled at the intense pleasure you were undergoing; Likewise, he had never felt so good in his entire life, barely managing to go much longer with the way you gripped his member; praying this would never end. "You're such a good girl for me." He purred, enveloped in the pure ecstasy of it all.
His lips were on yours once more as he reached his climax, moaning your name relentlessly, gripping you hard enough to leave bruises as he filled you up with his cum. Pants came from both of you before he removed himself, gently placing your legs on the ground.
When you finally part, just slightly, both of you are breathless, foreheads resting together. Sebastian’s usual smirk returns, softer, more intimate. “Well… that was worth the dare,” he whispers, his thumb brushing your cheek as his gaze lingers on you. "I'd say so." You lightly laugh, still chasing the high.
He bends down to retrieve your underwear, helping you to dress before doing the same with himself. "Shall we?" He questioned, extending a hand towards you, in which you happily took. As the two of you left the closet, the realization that the party was over and everyone had gone to bed dawned on you both. It was impossible not to laugh, having not known the two of you were in there for so long.
He walked you back to your room, fingers brushing yours occasionally, each touch sending little sparks up your arm. At the door, he kissed your hand once, soft and lingering, making your heart stutter. You started to step inside, but he gently pulled you back by the wrist. His other hand cupped the back of your neck, and his lips found yours again; soft, warm, and just long enough to make you want more.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested lightly against yours. “Goodnight, y/n,” he murmured, voice low and rough, full of both longing and gentleness.
You smiled, brushing your fingers against his cheek. “Goodnight, Sebastian,” you whispered back, your voice trembling slightly with everything that had passed between you.
He gave a small, teasing smirk, just enough to remind you of the playful confidence you adored. “Sleep well… and maybe dream a little about me.” He smiled, letting go of your wrist but holding your gaze a moment longer before finally stepping back.
"After all that, it'd be impossible not to." You replied, your gaze lingering on him until he disappeared down the hall, leaving your heart fluttering long after the door closed. As you climbed into bed, Imeldas voice carried to you. "You're welcome."
You laughed silently, unable to wipe the smile off your face knowing that whatever was between you and Sebastian, was only just the beginning.

"Might this finally be the time I get to rub my victory and greatness in your face?" Sebastian called out from behind you as you trudged down one of the corridors within your school, determination guiding your every step. You couldn't help but scoff as you turned to face him, stopping both of you in your tracks. His gaze held yours a beat longer than necessary, unreadable. "Your misled faith in yourself never ceases to impress me, you know that?" You quickly retort, curling your lip at his smug expression that falters with your comment.
"Misled faith? You're the one coming to me for help with this door you claim to be incapable of opening. I believe this is the perfect opportunity to show you up at something, and for you to finally accept that I am indeed exceptional."
Your eyes roll before you can even think, tightening your fists. "You're deeply making me regret this, Sallow. I'm not incapable, and I'd never admit to such rubbish. You can be truly insufferable."
"I guess that's why we're drawn to each other, darling; What exactly does that make you, then?" The pet name never fails to bring heat prickling your cheeks, but you mask it with a sharp glare. "Bloody Slytherin." You cursed under your breath as you spun on your heels, taking a deep breath. "It's up ahead, we can remain silent until then."
"Fine with me."
"That's not being silent." You retort, watching over your shoulder as he throws his hands up in surrender, scoffing slightly. He mutters words under his breath that are too soft for your ears to hear, curiosity and frustration washing over you as you brush it off, rounding the corner. You come to a stop before the intricately detailed oak door, tossing a glance over your shoulder to the boy beside you. "Go on, then."
He raises his eyebrows in test, approaching it. He gives the door a push, met with no budge. "Have you tried bombarda? Perhaps Depulso?" He questions over his shoulder, readying his wand. You step forward, pushing it down quickly. "Don't be ridiculous, that's not going to work."
"Have you?" He presses, earning a jaw clench from you. Your eyes dart around, making sure you were alone as you lower your voice to a whisper. "I've tried everything." You hesitantly admit. "Be thankful I was the one who got the spell blasted back at me and thrown against the wall. The portraits never let me hear the end of it."
He laughs at this before turning locking his eyes on yours. "And yet you chose to stop me. How sweet of you, am I warming up to you y/n?"
"Not even close." You shortly reply, crossing your arms before moving your focus back to the door. He follows your gaze, looking above. The words "locus veritatis" are carved above. "Locus veriatis?" He questions with a raised brow, the two of you jolting at the sound of the door unlocking and creaking open. Your jaw slacks, disappointment washing over you. He doesn't waste a moment to turn around with a smug expression, this time crossing his arms. He looked irritatingly good with that confident tilt of his chin, and you hated that you noticed. He caught on to this, teasing insistently. "You never thought to just read the inscription?"
"Shut up." You growled, prowling forward into the room with him following close behind. "A 'thank you, Sebastian' would suffice." His breath tickled your skin, sending an involuntary shiver down your spine. You shrug him off more forcefully than needed. The room circular, walls covered with bookshelves, having a lounge chair to the far right along with a notable pedestal in the centre containing a silver-glowing vile.
As soon as the two of you entered the rather small room, the door shut abruptly behind you. Both of you spun quickly, startled by the disturbance. You were the first to go and push against it, having no luck. You softly cursed under your breath, realizing that this was a bad idea. "It's not budging."
"I think we've established you're not the brightest when it comes to opening doors, allow me." He mocks, meeting you at your side to make his attempt. He finds the same result as you, his expression mirroring your own; anxiety spikes within both of you.
"Seems that you're not that much brighter, does it?"
"Step back." He orders, pointing his wand ahead. You follow his instructions swiftly, too stressed to throw back a smart remark. His attempt at bombarda fails, only blasting bookshelves into pieces. "Brilliant idea, Sallow." Your head shakes as you use repairo to mend the damage, your thoughts racing to find a solution. "You're the one who got us locked in here, if I recall correctly. If it hadn't been for your insistence on getting in this bloody room, we wouldn't be stuck now, would we?"
"If I hadn't sought you out and put up with your unyielding arrogance, you're right, we wouldn't be stuck here."
"Bloody hell y/n, you drive me insane." He scoffs slumping down on the lounge chair, running his fingers through his disheveled hair. "So you're just going to sit there?"
"I'm thinking- give me a moment." His tone is sharp, and you know better than to press. Your gaze moves to the floating vile in the centre, feeling as your feet slowly carry you to stand before it. Carefully, you reach for it, grasping it gently. A surge of energy rushes through the room, startling both of you. He's quick to his feet, now by your side examining the object within your grasp. His shoulder brushes yours as he leans in to examine the vial, and neither of you moves away. Clearing your throat, you state, "I'm guessing this is our key out of here... but what the hell are we supposed to do with it?"
"Is it ingestible?" He inquires, earning a shrug of your shoulders. "Only really one way to find out." You start, looking to him. "Since you're clearly so much more capable than me, you should go first."
"And be the guinea pig? I'm good, thanks. Ladies first." He motions to the vile, stepping back. The lack of warmth from where he once stood was devastatingly evident, but you shook it off quickly before popping the cork from the top, drinking half of it without a mere thought. He's intently watching you, searching your face for any negative expression or physical manifestation. Your breath is heavy as you wait a couple seconds, noticing that you were fine. Your hand extended the rest towards him, and in return, he finished it off. "Now what?"
You shrugged, looking around the room for any changes before striding to the door, pushing yet again against it... nothing. "I don't understand." Sighing heavily, you removed yourself from the door, plopping down on the sofa. His hands were braced on both sides of the pedestal, his white collared shirt pushed up his arms. Your cheeks flushed as he realized you had been staring a little too long, his head tilting ever so slightly. Something shifted then, within you. It also shifted in him. It felt as if something had opened up from deep within, making the two of you feel unusually lighter.
It was dead silent as your eyes lingered on each other for longer than you should've, both mouths laying agape. "I feel funny." You finally spit out, stomach filling with the sensation of butterflies. As he nodded in return, he cleared his throat, unable to look away from the expression painted across your face. You were looking at him through your lashes, cheeks rosy. Everything in him was fighting to look away, but he couldn't bring himself to- no, he didn't want to look away.
"Do you think we were poisoned?" He quietly questions, eyes still glued on you, feeling an urge to move closer. You felt the pull too, but the softness of the lounge chair had you sinking in, laying yourself back. "This feels too good to be poison." You laugh, head thrown back at the rushes going through your body. He swallows hard at the image of you in front of him, finally tearing his eyes away. You hear him mutter something as he turns around, loosening his emerald green tie around his neck as if he couldn't breath.
"What's the matter, Sebastian?" You call out, examining the way he seems to jolt from using his first name. "Something's wrong." He grunts, hesitantly turning to face you. "Are you sure? Cause I feel great."
"Yes I'm sure."
"Well what's the issue?"
"I feel like I don't have control over what I'm going to say or do." He reveals, keeping himself at a distance. At the same time he is resisting the pull, you unconsciously come to your feet, drawing towards him. "And what is it you feel you won't have control over, exactly?"
There's a beat of silence as he swallows hard, freezing as you approach. He clenches his jaw, looking away, the tension in his body clear. "I'm afraid of telling you things I’ve worked very hard to keep buried." He finally meets your gaze; the intensity of it making you now want to shy away. You didn't know what was overcoming you, barely registering that words were slipping from your lips. "Then stop burying them."
A low chuckle comes from him as he shakes his head. "You say that like it's easy. I don't want these... thoughts to be spoken of. I think the vial contained some sort of loose-lip serum."
"What's so wrong with sharing some secrets, Sebastian? That’s the whole point, isn’t it? This room… that vial. Maybe that's the key out."
As if taking turns, he now steps forward, the space between you closing. "Then you tell me something real. Something you’ve never said aloud."
Suddenly, you're breathless, heart thudding. You want to look away, but you don’t. Your eyes deceive you by landing on his lips; lips you always yearned to have on yours. As if he had caught on, his tongue swiftly swept across his bottom lip, watching as your gaze followed it. Your pulse hammers against your ribs, a betraying rhythm that fills the silence between you. “Something real?” you manage, your voice barely audible. “Fine. You want the truth?”
He folds his arms, that familiar, infuriating smirk tugging at his lips. “Always.”
You take a sharp breath. “You drive me insane. Every smirk, every smug little comment... every time you act like you’re above everyone else. It’s unbearable.”
His brow lifts, amusement flickering in his eyes. “Unbearable? Because you can’t stand losing to me?”
You scoff quickly. “Because you make everything a competition. Even when it doesn’t have to be.”
The words hang heavy in the air. A faint hum echoes through the room, low and resonant, and both your gazes dart to the door. The latch glows faintly, just for a second, then fades.
Sebastian blinks. “Did you see that?”
“I said something true,” you whisper. “And the door… reacted.”
“So that’s it. The room opens with honesty. That's right... locus veritas translates to something like room of truth, if I'm getting my latin right.” He narrows his eyes whilst you cross your arms. “Then it's your turn, genius.”
His smirk falters. “Fine.” He exhales slowly, jaw flexing. “I thought you were arrogant when we first met. Always trying too hard to prove yourself.”
You roll your eyes. “Wow, thanks.”
“But…” He steps closer, voice softening just slightly. “Then I realized you only push because no one ever listens until you force them to notice.”
There’s another hum. The glow brightens again; stronger this time. You both stare at the door. “It’s working,” you say, breathless. He nods once, lips pressing together. “Then we keep going.”
Your heart thuds harder. “I always thought of you as insufferable,” you admit. “Always so controlled, so sure of yourself... like you don't feel anything.”
Sebastian’s gaze sharpens. “And now?”
“Now…” You hesitate, words trembling on your tongue. “Now I think you feel too much. You just don’t know what to do with it.”
The glow surges. The door creaks, gears shifting inside. He lets out a shaky laugh, the sound unfamiliar coming from him. “You think you have me all figured out?”
“No,” you say quietly. “But I wish to.”
Sebastian huffs a quiet laugh, but it lacks his usual bite. “You really shouldn’t.”
“Why not?” you challenge softly. He hesitates, eyes darting between yours. “Because then you’d see through all of it... the arrogance, the smugness, the pretending.”
Your brow furrows, curiosity flickering beneath the steady pounding of your heart. “Pretending what?”
“Pretending that you don’t get to me. That you never have.” He exhales sharply.
You freeze, caught between disbelief and something dangerously hopeful. “You mean—?”
He cuts you off, voice low and uneven. “Every time you roll your eyes at me, every time you call me insufferable... I can’t stand it because I want you to look at me for another reason entirely.”
The glow from the door flares brighter, casting a golden glow over his features. He glances toward it, then back at you with a faint smile. “Seems the room approves of that truth.”
You can barely find your voice. “Sebastian…”
He laughs under his breath, though there’s no amusement in it. “I told myself it was rivalry, that it was all just a game. But I don’t think it ever was.” The light pulses again, steady and warm. Your breath catches, eyes locked on his. “Then what was it?”
His answer is barely a whisper. “Me trying to get close to you… in the only way I knew how.”
The door hums louder this time, metal shifting within the frame. Your pulse races with it, every nerve alive. For a moment, neither of you speak. The air thickens, charged with the weight of every confession you’ve shared. Sebastian takes another step forward, close enough that your breath catches. “Looks like you need to tell me one more truth,” he murmurs. “Something real. About me. About you. Doesn’t matter which.”
Your throat tightens. “You make me angry because I care what you think. I shouldn’t... but I do.”
The door’s glow flares brilliantly this time, the sound of metal sliding echoing around the room. You both turn toward it, then back to each other. Sebastian’s voice is low now, nearly a whisper. “You’re not the only one.”
Your breath hitches. “What?”
“I care too.” He exhales shakily, eyes flicking to your lips as though he’s realizing something at the same time you do. “More than I should.”
Before you can respond, he leans in, one hand finding your jaw, the other curling at your waist, pulling you flush against his body. The kiss happens like a confession of its own: sudden, desperate, and passionate, full of all the tension that’s been building for years.
When he finally pulls back, his breath ghosts against your skin. Behind you, a click echoes through the chamber, the final lock releasing, the door opening. You glance toward it, heart still racing. “So… truth really was the key.”
Sebastian’s grin softens, and for once, there’s no mockery in it. “It seems we’ve both unlocked something we weren’t meant to hide anymore, didn't we, darling?” He utters before tilting his head back down to kiss you once more.

Summary: Having had tension filled moments with your colleague, Professor Prentiss, the two of you give in to your lustful desires.
A/N: Thank you so much for this request; I can never get enough of Emily smut. Hope you enjoy lovelies <3
When you first started your job, Professor Prentiss was the first to introduce herself. Her smile was radiant, energy warm. That smile made you feel all warm inside, spreading a smile across your own face. "Emily Prentiss, Psychology Professor. You must be y/n?" The way her lips moves was... entrancing. You nodded in return, eyes moving back to hers as the corner of her mouth tugged into a smirk. Her handshake was firm as you introduced yourself and your position. She wasn't obligated to show you around campus or to your own classroom, but she did, claiming it was the least she could do.
You turned to her with an appreciative grin, not missing the way her eyes darted from your lips to your eyes in a split second. "Thank you again, Prentiss. God knows I'd be lost in this place without your guide." A laugh slipped from your lips as she beamed in return, her tongue gliding across her bottom lip before she bit down on her wettened lip, moving her hand in a dismissing gesture. "Please, call me Emily. Like I said, it's the least I can do, really. You'll love it here."
And you did. As months passed, you found yourself looking forward to seeing her down the hall, sending a subtle nod or wave her way after classes were over, sitting together at lunch. You'd talk about anything and everything, really getting to know each other with the spare time you'd have.
Your brain was in a state of indecisiveness, unable to decipher what exactly you felt for her as you recalled the day you wore a plunging v-line, catching each subtle glance towards your chest she'd make. You could've sworn she could see your heart pounding in your chest. Then there was last week, when the two of you walked through the front doors, and she placed her hand on the mid of your back, hand brushing against yours once you were side by side; Without fail, chills ran through your body whenever she made contact with you. Or the lingering stares between both of you in the quietist of moments. The way her eyes seemed to drag along your body when she didn't think you saw- but oh, you definitely saw.
The moment you couldn't forget was when the two of you went out to a bar a month ago, and you had to drive her very intoxicated self home. She was, to gently say, all over you. When you were about to leave her apartment, her hand wrapped around your wrist, giving it a light tug. You turned to face her, and her lips were on yours. You were shocked, but you kissed her back. She tasted of whisky and cherries, a taste you never wanted to forget. When she pulled back from you, all she whispered was 'stay' before plopping down on her bed. She had passed out almost immediately after, and had no recollection of the night the following day. She just thanked you for bringing her home after you informed her, and you simply said; "It's the least I could do."
As you stood at the back of her class during your free period, you watched her pace back in forth, examining how she managed to keep each of her students captivated. She had passion for her job, and knew she was good at it. She walked and conversated with such confidence that was almost... intimidating. As she dismissed her students, her eyes landed on you in the back, a small smile gracing her features. "Y/N."
"Emily." You greeted, walking down the rows to stand in front of her desk, where she had been sat. Once again, you wore a plunged V-neck, testing the waters today. As you leaned over the desk, you watched as her eyes fought to stay on yours. "I've always heard of how highly our colleagues talk about you and your teaching... after seeing you in action, you've gotta teach me your methods. I can't keep over five of my student's attention for half the class."
She laughed at this, eyebrows raising for a second. "Hate to say it but... it's just natural." She leans back in her chair, head tilting as she looked up to you with a smug look on her face. "Seems like you're a natural at everything."
"You have no idea." A smirk formed on her lips as the atmosphere shifted around you. Something about the random boldness she'd display made you grin. Your type had always been dominant or confident women, and she seemed to fit that type perfectly. If your intuition was right, she was definitely putting out signs for you... but this was your colleague. Your co-worker that you saw every day. Your lips parted, but nothing came out. You didn't even know what she felt for you, if she felt anything; but there was no denying you had formed feelings for her. You still craved that whisky and cherry flavor she left on your lips for those few seconds. "Would you want to have drinks at my place tonight?" Her words pulled you from your thoughts, and your eyes away from her lips. Your eyebrows furrowed for a second before you nodded vaguely. "Yea- Yeah. I'd love that. I could use one after this week."
"I hear you, y/n. Seven fine?" She inquired, playing with your name in her mouth. "Seven's perfect."
-
You stood outside her apartment door, holding a bottle of pricy red wine in your hand as you adjusted your skin-tight black dress. Just as you began to overthink your decisions, she opened her door, already wearing a toothy grin. "I just thought I'd bring my best bottle of wine." You clarified after seeing her eyes dart to the bottle in hand. "Perfect for our collection tonight." She affirmed, stepping to the side to let you in. The red dress she wore complimented her dark hair and fair complexion tremendously. Red was your favorite color on her; she always wore it so well. As you set the bottle down on her kitchen counter, she met at your side, leaning against the marble. "You look great, y/n."
She hated that the way this black dress clung to your skin so tightly- it was hard for her to focus on anything but how fucking aroused she was. Your hair was pinned up, but there were strands that laid against your cheeks. It took every ounce of her willpower to not reach out and tuck them behind your ears. "You too, Em." You beamed, biting down on your lip as she placed her hand yet again on the mid of your back, guiding you over to the couch. Displayed on the coffee table laid hard liquor, a charcuterie board, fruit bowl, and three lit candles. Quite romantic for just friendly drinking, you noted. As you both sat down, you tucked your leg underneath you, placing your elbow over the top of the cushion. She poured both of you drinks, handing a concoction to you. As you took a sip, your eyes widened. It was strong, but it was good. "Is there anything you're not good at? This is amazing." You admitted as you drank more, watching her shrug. "I'm just a hands on, quick learner."
"What else do I not know about you? I feel like you're full of mysteries."
"Vous n’en avez aucune idée" (You have no idea). She spoke, words so intricate and fluent. Hearing her speak French was... riveting. "What did you just say?" You smiled, watching her mischievously grin in return. "Are you boasting about how much of a natural you are to my face and I'm just clueless or..."
"Je veux vous montrer à quel point je suis naturel." You stare blankly at her, wishing now more than ever that you were able to speak French. You observe her tongue glide across her bottom lip before she bites down on it as she leans closer to you. "I said, I want to show you how much of a natural I am."
Her eyes meet yours as you swallow hard, heart already beating fast. "Are you saying..."
"You know what I'm saying." Her voice is flirtatious but firm as she lifts your chin with a hooked finger, using her spare hand to take your glass and place it on the table. Realization settled within you as chills spiked throughout your body, goosebumps raising on your arms. She laughed softly at your awe-struck expression as she gulped down her drink, placing it on the table before scooching closer to you. "For months... all I could think about was you. Something about you just... makes me crazy. You have no idea how bad I've wanted you." She whispers, tracing her finger down your bare arm. You wanted to laugh at her words; she had no idea how bad you've wanted her.
Still being speechless, you only knew one way to show her what you felt. Your hands met her cheeks as you pulled her lips to yours, enveloping them together. They moved harmoniously; her tongue quick to slip past your lips. One of her hands was gripping your leg as the other held your neck, the kissing becoming more heated and passionate by the second. Her grip on your leg beckoned you to straddle her, so you did, throwing your arms around her neck.
Though it wasn't your first kiss, this one was undoubtedly better than you could've imagined as she put her fingers in your hair, pulling your head back a bit before her lips traveled down to your neck. "Can I touch you?" She inquired between kisses to your neck. You nodded vigorously as her hand moved from your thigh to beneath your dress, rubbing against your clothed cunt tenderly. You jolted slightly, letting out a small laugh as she pulled the skin of your neck between her teeth, littering your neck in hicky's.
Her finger moved back and forth before she pulled your panties to the side, making skin-to-skin contact that made you moan. Pulling away for a split second, she instructed you to open your mouth. As you complied, she put her thumb in your mouth, ordering you to suck on her finger. Her hand was back underneath your dress in a second, thumb rubbing that aching spot in a way that had you arching your back. "God, right there." You moaned as she planted kisses across your chest. "Does that make you feel good?"
"Yes- god yes." You mewled, gripping the couch as she applied more pressure. When she pulled her hand away, you let out a frustrated breath, looking down at her. "I just want to taste you already pretty girl." She shushed you, placing one kiss on your lips before moving your body from its straddled position, flipping you around as she got on her knees next to the couch. Her fingers gripped your thighs, bringing you closer to the edge before removing your undergarment.
As she trailed kisses up and down your thighs, you fidgeted, wanting a release to the immense arousal you were dealing with. "Please Em-" You started, not even able to finish before her tongue was gliding through your folds, sucking tenderly on your clit. One of your hands was gripping the cushions as the other was intertwined with one of hers beside your hip; you had a full view of her going down on you, eyes locked on her lust-filled ones. This certainly wasn't her first time given how skilled she was; she knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
Her tongue circled your aching spot before her lips were around it, sucking gently for a few seconds before cooing, "You taste so fucking good y/n." The way her tongue licked up and down your cunt made you whisper obscenities and pleas, gripping the cushions tighter. Pressure had already been building within your core as you threw your head back, holding her hair away from her face. Your mouth laid agape as she slid a finger inside of you, curling it to that sweet spot as she pumped against it. You were a moaning mess as she ate you out like a starved woman. "Right there-" You managed to spit out, and she obliged you, keeping up with the same pattern. As the pressure released, your back was arching whilst your legs shook. She continued to leave final kisses and licks to your cunt, beaming at the work she had just done before her. As your eyes returned to hers, you watched her suck on her finger, smiling as she withdrew it. "You're such a good girl." She cooed, intertwining her lips with yours once she was at your level.
At this point, you needed to please her. You ached to do so. As you pulled back for a breath, you tugged your dress over your head, taking your heels off. She followed your cue, doing the same. Your hand met hers, pulling her down to sit beside you. The next moments were filled with heavy breaths as you laid her on her back, admiring her breasts before taking one in your mouth, fondling the other with your newly manicured hand. As your tongue teased and flicked her nipple, small gasps left her lips. You moved your mouth to the other breast, treating it the same as the last. "Can I go down on you?" You requested, making sure you had her consent before you proceeded. She nodded in return, watching as you trailed kisses down her abdomen. Your fingers hooked around her black lace underwear, pulling them off and tossing them to the side. You scooched to the edge of the opposite side of the sofa, feet dangling off the end as you perched on your elbows and knees, your ass up in the air.
"Don't mind me, just enjoying the view." She smirked as she pulled your hair up, tilting her head as you smiled. Your mouth was on her cunt in seconds, making sure to savor every inch of her as your tongue explored, licking stripes up and down, circling her clit, etc. You noticed how she'd moan when you switched between flicking your tongue across her clit, followed by sucking tenderly. Her taste simply aroused you, but watching as her hips rolled and her breath hitched was something that could have made you come undone. "You're so good at that- such a good girl." She moaned, tightening her grip around your hair as her eyes shut tightly. You continued what you learned she liked best, plunging your tongue inside of her a couple times as you used three of your fingers to rub against her aching spot. "Fuck y/n!"
She could feel you smiling against her once your tongue replaced your fingers; when you swished her clit within your mouth, she couldn't help but arch her back, whimpering your name, and pet names, continuously. "Faster- right there. That's my good girl." She breathed, and you indulged, moving your tongue at a faster pace to bring her to her climax. Your hand pressed down on her core as the pressure built; her back arched higher as she gripped the side of the couch, curses being thrown out of her mouth as her legs inched closer together.
Her cunt was sopping, but you obliged yourself to lick your work up, savoring the taste of her on your tongue. Her breathing was heavy as her chest rapidly raised and fell; eyes drooped once they met yours. "You did so good y/n. You drive me fucking crazy." She chuckled, pulling you up over her body before crashing her lips on yours. Given you were both out of breath, she poured the two of you another drink, throwing a blanket over both of your bare bodies; you slumped against her as she strung her arm around your shoulders, kissing your forehead once.
"So, is it safe to say this isn't a one-time thing?" You inquired, looking up at her as she took a drink. She grinned down at you, still trying to catch her breath before she tilted your face up towards hers, kissing you softly. As she pulled back, she wore a gentle smile. "Definitely not a one-time thing."
Summary: When you get captured by an unsub and your team finds out where you are, your lover and coworker, Emily Prentiss, seeks you out. Only she’s too late to save you.
She blamed herself for not driving home with you the night the unsub took you from outside your shared apartment. The work she had done could've waited... and maybe you would've still been with her and your guys' team. "Emily, we might've got something." Derek informed from across the alley they had been in, where the unsub had dumped his last victim. 'Clock's ticking' was carved into the girl's abdomen, serving as a reminder of the time you had left alive was thinning. Desolately, she stared at this poor girl, just like she had the past two. Seeing the state she was in... she knew what their unsub had in store for you, and it made her want to scream- lash out; hurt somebody. Hurt Robert Delmont- the man who was hiding you.
Emily's gaze moved from the lifeless body to Derek, who rushed over with his phone extended. "Okay, talk to me baby." He eagerly spoke into the phone, examining his coworker's distraught expression as his own heart raced. "I found Robert's house. I narrowed down your area and used the information you guys provided- and I found it. 24 Newberg Road, you're about six minutes away."
Emily hadn't wasted a second before running towards her SUV; Derek on her tail replied: "Copy that, thanks Garcia."
"Godspeed, guys. Save our girl." Penelope spoke from the other end, ending the call to inform the rest of the team as Derek and Emily climbed in the car, speeding to the home you were being held in.
Faintly through the singular basement window, you could see flashing red and blue lights. Relief washed over you as tears fell down your cheeks. You struggled against the restraints you were held in, arms sore from being held in the same upwards position for these past 8 & 1/2 hours. You could hear the steel door creek open and shut as footsteps descending followed. Your relief left you as you met face to face with Robert, who rushed towards you, throwing a punch to your face. "They think they're going to save you."
Your lip was already busted, and you had cuts and bruises marking your whole body. He moved behind you, putting a blade up to your neck. Your breath hitched as he pulled your head back by your hair, whispering in your ear; "Time to prove them wrong."
-
Emily had already been out of the passenger's side before it came to a full stop, rushing inside the home. Derek followed after her, whisper-yelling for her to wait. She didn't oblige, rather rushed in anyway. In no way was she going to string out the little time you had left. She motioned for Derek to search upstairs, receiving a nod in return. They both should've waited for the rest of their team, but Emily already made it clear she couldn't wait, and Derek understood. This was personal... and time wasn't in their favor, if Robert was following his 10 hours spent with each victim.
Her heart was pounding as she neared every corner, pausing when she observed the steel door cracked open. While she should've retrieved Derek for backup, she went down instead, keeping her gun aimed ahead. The door shut behind her, leaving her in total darkness as it made a beeping noise. Only then did she realize that it had no handle on the inside, but that it needed a keycard, likely installed by the twisted killer who brought women down here, guaranteeing that escaping was out of the question. The air was cold and bitter down here, smelling of metal and mildew; agony so potent in the air. She breathed heavily, continuing her descent as she prepared for what laid ahead.
But nothing could've prepared her to meet face to face with you, strung up and beaten. So vulnerable and broken. A tang of pain struck her heart as she watched your face pinch, tears mixing with the crimson on your cheeks. The knife against your neck made her blood run cold as she aimed at the unsub. "Back away and drop the knife." Her voice came out firm as she remained at a safe distance, not wanting to push the Delmont man. "Ah, Emily Prentiss."
"I said back away and drop the-"
"I do that and you put me in prison, or I kill her and you kill me. Doesn't seem like a win-win situation, now does it?"
"Let her go." She ordered, unable to tell the man that she didn't want to shoot him. If anything, she wanted to torture him for the trauma he had inflicted on you. Make him feel every bit of pain you have felt- every bit of pain she had felt in the absence of you.
"I know how deeply you care for her... she's so... extravagant. I'd want her too. Well, I had her... that's for sure." He chuckled as you shut your eyes tightly. Her lip curled as her eyebrows furrowed, reminding herself of the oath she took for this job. An oath that she wished didn't exist in this very moment. "You son of a bitch."
"You want me to slit her throat right now? I will."
"You know what I want you to do. If you comply, we can negotiate-"
"We both know that's bullshit. Don't we?" He stated, turning to put his lips up to your ear at the last part. You tried to pull away, but he yanked your head back. Emily was panicking because she didn't have a clear shot of him. He was perfectly blocked by your shaking body, and you would be hit in order to get him, no matter the angle.
"You walk out those doors and leave, I'll spare her. Leave her for you to find in a couple days."
"I'm not negotiating this with you."
"I thought you wanted to negotiate? Don't you want her alive?" He started, tilting his head as he watched Emily's expression harden. "I can leave her lifeless if you'd prefer... yeah. Yeah that sounds better." Pounding came from the steel door upstairs as all three below heard Derek's shouts. "Clock's ticking." He grinned as Emily's body shivered, mouth opening to speak. "No. Times up." He finalized; In a swift motion, he sliced your neck open as you cried out. Her body stilled, though her reflexes didn't waste a second to shoot his withdrawn arm. He scampered to the side, clutching his arm as he rushed towards her. She was quicker, firing one final shot that knocked him down for good.
Her gaze moved back at you, watching the blood pour to the ground below your bowed head. "Y/n-" spit from her mouth as she rushed towards you, untying the ropes around your wrists, letting you fall into her arms. You were coughing on your own blood as she tried to turn you on your side, clearing your airway as she applied pressure to your open wound. "Stay with me my love, stay with me." She instructed, pushing the hair out of your face as you looked up at her.
Never had she felt fear like this before as her arms desperately pulled your shaking body closer to hers, trying to keep you curled into her like you would several nights spent together. She'd whisper how much she loved you as she held you dearly as she'd kiss your head, reminding you that in those moments, it was just you two. Not the job, not the world. You were each other's safe havens; the only light outside the dark they faced every day.
"I'm right here. I've got you, love. Stay with me." She spoke quickly, keeping pressure as crimson spilled over her fingers. You were struggling to breath, but you needed to speak; you knew you weren't leaving this basement, just like you knew she was denying that truth. It pained you to be aware of your fate when you had finally found the other half to your soul that spent every waking moment reminding you of what real love was. Slowly, your arm rested on her hand upon your neck, grasping it. Her broken eyes peered down at you as both of you could hear your other team members desperately trying to get through that godforsaken door, calling out your guys' names.
"They're going to get us out of here... and we're gonna get you to a hospital- you're gonna be okay. I- I'm right here." She insisted, clenching her jaw as she fought back the tears lining her waterline. If you saw her break, she was sure you would too. She needed to be strong, but all you needed in this moment was her. "Em-" You tried, unable to continue as blood poured from the corner of your mouth. "Don't try to talk honey-"
"Emily." You managed to get out, choking on your blood as her head slightly shook. "Lis-listen to me." Your hand squeezed hers as she tried to talk again. "You k-know what's going t-to happen."
"No."
"Emily-"
"No-"
"I'm not going to m-make it."
"No! No I don't accept that." She exclaimed, her head shaking vigorously as a sob slipped from her throat. "Em, please-" You tried, but she cut you off as tears now began to fall down her cheeks. "I can't- I can't accept that. I need you. I'm always going to need you." Her voice was utterly broken; already in denial, she couldn't stop shaking her head at you, pushing away the thoughts of what life would be like when she stepped outside of this house, knowing you weren't ever coming home with her.
"I love you s-" You had started, beginning to fade out of consciousness. Her eyes widened as she used her arm from under you to touch your face, pulling your body up to hers. "So much." You managed to finish, though your eyes were slowly shutting. Exhaustion wasn't even a comparable word to what you were feeling. When the pain started to fade, and you began to feel numb, you knew your time was up. "Hey- Stay with me y/n." She slightly shook you; your eyes weren't fully closed, but your eyelids were drooped. "Please stay with me." Her words were quiet, small. So much pain was laced in those four words as she felt the exact moment your life left your body.
Her body stilled as she pulled back to look at your face; eyelids were still drooped, but you were gone. Her jaw slowly slacked as she shook her head, removing her hand from your throat before placing it on your cheek, gently tilting your head at an angle where you would be able to see her. "No- no please!" Sobs were spilling from her lips as her chest heaved, thumb stroking your face delicately. "I need you-"
A loud, ground shaking bang came from the upstairs as she pulled your lifeless body up against her chest, cradling the back of your head over her shoulder as the other hand tightly held your bare waist. "Emily!" Derek's voice erupted from the stairway as several footsteps boomed from afar.
"I love you- I love you so much." She wept, eyes shut tightly as the rest of her team members made it downstairs, halting at the sight. The unsub's body had been the first thing observed, but the sight of Emily cradling your lifeless body- seeing Emily shattered in a way that they'd never seen before caused them to still.
JJ's hand covered her mouth as Hotch lowered his gun, tears beginning to brim in his own eyes despite his usual cold exterior. Rossi shut his eyes tightly as Spencer beside him, unable to watch, turned away, walking into JJ's embrace. Then there was Derek, who stood with his mouth agape, heart plummeting. One of his best friends was forever broken, and the other dead.
Eventually, JJ had to pull Emily from your body, which took a tremendous amount of effort to do. Your lover had refused to let you go as she cried I'm sorry's and pleas for you to come back to her. Knowing you died before she said I love you back destroyed her. She just wanted to hold you; to kiss you one more time. Yet all she could do was kiss your forehead as they removed you from her arms, watching your hand leave hers.

Summary: When you and your current boyfriend get serious, your friend Steve, who just so happens to be the one who didn't reciprocate your feelings in the past reveals his new feelings for you, leading to an angsty dispute.
"He wants me to move in with him." You beamed to your friends as you all stood around the bar. "That's great! What did you say?" Nancy inquired as she sipped on her white wine, leaning against Jonathan behind her. Steve had perked up at this, zoning his attention to you after being quiet earlier in the night.
You smiled wide as you slowly began to nod, finding joy upon seeing the anticipation on your friends' faces. "I said yes!" You finally answered, resulting in squeals of excitement. "How soon?!" Robin questioned, seeing the happiness within your eyes. "Probably the end of this week... we've been talking about it for a while, for when we were certain, but he asked me last night. It was an easy yes."
"God I'm so happy for you y/n! I called it that you guys would go far. We could tell from the first time you guys talked when you were working at Family Video back in 86'." Nancy exclaimed, tilting her head as she smiled brightly. "God it was so annoying when he'd start coming in almost every day just as an excuse to see you. Can't believe it took you guys nearly a year before you became exclusive." Robin added as she laughed gently, only noticing Steve's glum expression once she had finished talking out of the corner of her eye.
"We didn't want to rush anything! Everything was running so smoothly, and we both liked the way it was, just like now with being exclusive- plus it worked out perfectly these past couple of years. He treats me so good, I'm so thankful for him." You explained, catching on to Robin's side glance to Steve. That's when you saw the underlying pain within those familiar brown eyes. Eyes that you'd do anything for a couple years back. While you kept a smile on your face, your heart panged from seeing this look across his face. His eyes met yours as he attempted a fake thin-lipped smile. Everyone's eyes were on him following this; "That's uh... that's great news y/n." He cleared his throat as his fists balled.
"Well, cheers to y/n and her future with the man she deserves!" Nancy raised her glass, throwing subtle shade Steve's way. This hadn't gone unnoticed by the others, but you raised your glass, wanting to save him from the humiliation.
-
When two knocks came from your apartment door around midnight, you stilled on your living room couch. Slowly and quietly, you approached the oak door, looking through the peephole to discover Steve on the other side.
"Are you okay?" You inquired as you opened your door, examining his pained facial expression. He let himself in without a word, biting down hard on his chapped bottom lip. "Steve?" You're worried at this point; he's never acted like this before. He runs his fingers through his hair as his lips part, but no words come out.
"Steve I swear to god, if you don't say anything-"
"Do you have feelings for me?" He blurts out, pointedly looking at you with semi-frustration. Your body stills as you stare into his brown eyes, furrowing your brows. "What?"
"Any remanent feelings, or present feelings. Do you still have them y/n?" He questions rather harshly as his face pinches, and he clutches his fists. You stare at him blankly; truth was, you had finally moved on after years of unrequited interest. You felt so much better now that you felt almost nothing for him... but you didn't know how to tell him, nor did you know why he was asking such a question.
"No." You reply shortly, quietly. Your eye contact never breaks, even as you see something change in his gaze. He genuinely seems hurt upon hearing that singular word. "No?" His voice comes out small, and his breath hitches. "Why are you here, Steve?"
"I don't know how to tell you." He almost whispers as his brows inch closer together.
"Tell me what?"
"That I-" He cuts himself off, finally looking away from you. Gears turn in his head as he processes whether coming to your apartment was even a good idea to begin with, or how this would end if he went through with it. Slowly, his eyes return to yours, and you're taken aback from seeing tears harboring his waterline. "That I love you."
Now your breath hitches as your heart aches. You're not sad, you're angry. He waits for an answer, but you can't give him one; certainly not the one he wants. "Please say something." He mutters, cautiously taking a step towards you. As he does, you take one back, shaking your head as you hold out your palm. "Are you serious?" Slips from your mouth. Your heart begins to feel as if a fist was tightening around it all over again.
"More serious than I've been about anything."
"No, I mean are you serious?" You scoff, squinting as your throat begins to burn. "I tell you I'm about to move in with the man of my dreams, who I've stated makes me happier than I ever could've imagined to be... and then you come all the way to my place at midnight to tell me you love me?"
"Well... yeah-"
"No. I don't accept that."
"But that's how I feel-"
"I don't care how you feel Steve. I can't even believe you- the audacity you have right now."
"I thought you'd still feel... something for me."
"Well, you thought wrong. I finally don't feel anything for you, and I'm happy. You wasted your time." You barked, feeling shame for the tears that were forming in your eyes, though it crushed you to see tears fall from his. "This wasn't how it was supposed to go." He whispered, vaguely shaking his head.
"You thought that coming here and telling me that you love me would change my mind? Change something that could've been different years ago if you had felt differently?" Your fists balled as you spit out your words, unable to hold back any longer. "I loved you so fucking much Steve, for so fucking long. And you couldn't even acknowledge my feelings. Remember? 'I just can't see myself with... you' is what you told me. With Nancy around, I was nonexistent. Just 'Nancy's friend.' Do you know how much that hurt? How much having you break my heart time and time again took a toll on me?"
His mouth laid agape as he shook his head; tears fell with each blink, but you couldn't feel sympathy. "No, you don't understand. I wanted a life with you- and fuck, did it hurt to pretend that I was fine just being friends with you. To know that no matter what I did, you wouldn't love me. You could've had me, but you didn't want me." You choked out, walking to the front door and opening it wide. "I'm sorry." He quietly cried, looking to the floor in guilt. Without any more words, he was walking out the door. As you shut it behind him, you slowly turned, placing your back against it. You clutched your chest and cried for the girl within you that still ached for him. He was just too late.

When you'd wake, you could never remember her face, just her hair, and her vivid aura. You never understood this reoccurring dream until Emily Prentiss stood in front of you at a coffee shop, holding your coffee cup.
It had been a mistake, seeing as she hadn't checked if her cup was the one on the left or the right. After apologizing for the mishap, you watched as she talked to your daughter in a way that made you smile so large. She had a motherly energy herself, but something in your gut verified that she wasn't. As she introduced herself, the two of you shook hands, and that's when you knew.
It had been like the world exploded with light, colors intensifying on every surface around; the realization that the woman in front of you was your soulmate was overwhelming, leaving you short of breath as your hands remained clasped together. Both your guys' eyes were wide as your lips laid agape, and the woman from your dream now had a face- that woman was in front of you. "It's you-" You breathed, trying to catch your breath as every emotion intensified. "You're my soulmate." A smile spread across both of your faces as the love sparking between you only grew, as had the light in the world. Adalyne had loved her in an instant, knowing herself that the two of you were tethered together by fate.
The two of you were married not to long after, having a beautiful ceremony. Then was when she introduced you to her team, and they had immediately taken to you. Penelope had smothered you with hugs and love, being the first to welcome you to their found family. David had been next, offering to pay for yours and Emily's honeymoon. He would become a father figure to both of you, providing a grand-father figure to Adalyne. Jennifer and Spencer came like a package, as had Derek and Aaron following. Jack, Henry, and Adalyne would have playdates all the time, usually at Rossi's home where all of you could sit back and relax after they'd come back from a case.
Quality time had been something all of you really favored, more specifically together. In your previous years, you weren't much of a people-person, needing a break after socializing with a couple people. You valued distance over anything. Now, you didn't know how you had gone through life without the 7 of them in it. Every waking moment they were free, you were with them. Whether it be one-on-ones or the whole group, being with all of them made you feel complete. Your safety and comfortability were always at the top of their lists. You thought it was just protective nature, seeing as the work they do every day was no easy task, nor was it safe. Being involved with an FBI agent automatically put you at risk, but that hadn't stopped Emily and her team from keeping you safe.
Emily loved seeing you so happy around her teammates, and it didn't take long for her to realize that they were your platonic soulmates. Having six was extremely rare, let alone one. You had been oblivious to their nature, never questioning how you'd know what they were thinking or feeling more than half the time. You just knew that they were what you were missing, and now, you were complete.
